It seems to me that you are not hitting apply button after entering locations - see my screens, as name of drives (without path) should be visible, as should locations of virtual machines and virtual hard disks.

The preinstslled test vms fill in all the settings for you. If you are creating one, you have to fill settings yourself. I would go to tutorial section and read excellent tutorial by ,@Kari how to set up Hyper-V.

Thank you! I removed the drive and the SCSI controller and reinstalled them. The VM is working again. (y)

I installed the test install myself to better know my way around in Hyper-V. I have no idea of what happen to cause my problem. I did learn a few things though. :)

I almost forgot. Even though my VM is working again the drive still doesn't have a name.
