Solved I am rarely able to eject my usb hard drives

I don't understand why this is happening
I have two usb hard drives connected to a usb hub(it happens even when I connect them directly)

Almost every time I am done with them and I want to safely eject them(both of them are set to quick removal but I am using the feature to safely eject the drives anyway just to be sure),windows says that they are in use but no matter what I use to check by what they are used,I never get an answer

It's like nothing is using them but the moment I try to eject the drive,then it gets it use by something


If I leave them for a while,they enter idle mode(spin down)but if i try to eject them,windows still says that they are in use

It's Microsoft's over-protective (or incompetent) pretence at so-called "safety"

3rd party option : USB Disk Ejector.

Frequently works where Windows safely remove fails (miserably). After install, don't forget to add a program entry to the (hidden) folder
ProgramData > Microsoft > Windows > Start menu > Start-up folder so UDE runs in the background. To eject, right click on the Systray icon
