What can I do if I don't see any of the options in HOME as groups? it's all just icons.

On my desktop it doesn't work and on my laptop it does work fine

On my Win11 22H2 Home with latest Build update I can get the Toolbar showing the choices by clicking an icon in the Desktop folder in File Explorer to get the Sort icon in the Toolbar to make changes. I usually choose None but other choices are available as desired. It's the same on my Pro machines.

that's the thing, I don't have a single option to sort group or anything.

I'd run sfc /scannow from a Command Prompt as Admin to check for file corruption.
