I'm using Hasleo Free, so far it's worked well. When they wake up and offer a lifetime price for multiple machines, I'd consider them as a replacement if they're cheaper than Acronis.
There is a lifetime license in a 5pc pack. $89.95

It's not as much about price but I and so many others outside of "main countries" are not able to pay for it. No international credit card and beside domestic/local money only $CDN. To exchange to USD would double the price. Beside that, they should off more options like for instance just basic program for those that don't need much. Here in y country I can buy everything from MS and many other companies for local currency by simple transfer by phone.

fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to mechanical deterioration this PC has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven in 'Other systems' to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

So is anyone using O&O DiskImage?
Whoa ok NOPE, I have just tried it and the interface is nothing short of HORRIBLE. There is no easy way to edit backup tasks, the scheduling is bugged, and there is no option to backup at system startup.

Back to the drawing board I guess 🤦‍♀️

Check out Hasleo and that is what many have changed to from Macrium.

Hasleo even has delta restore like Macrium.
And a much better more intuitive user interface then Macrium. I also noticed it restores my backup images much faster than Macrium.

As I keep saying -- why pay $90 or more just to back up your own computer !!!!!
These days store important stuff on the cloud (reliable, cheap and you don't need to worry about backups), and store other stuff OFFLINE. Plenty of ways to do that within Windows -- even File explorer" - especially for stuff like multi-media etc which doesn't change.

Otherwise get the Stand alone version of GPARTED -- good partition manager (interface will be familiar to Windows users). This can also copy / image disks so no prob on "imaging" your Windows disk(s).

Why on earth should I cough up € or $(US) over 80 to perform a basic backup system. And then it's usually a subscription. I've culled nearly every subscription I can think of now - even a lot of TV stuff I don't need. All I have now on subscription are utility bills, a trivial €1.92 for a decent amount of secure cloud storage and I pay also for the internet (can't avoid subscription for those) and I pay annually (a load cheaper) for Netflix and Amazon Prime plus a one time fee for a 3 year access to Nord VPN.

I don't have any mortgages etc or want "premium Bank accounts" etc.

I'll bet loads of people have all sorts of subscriptions they didn't know they had -- especially those "entrapment offers" which give you what seems a good deal often for free for a limited time but then they forget to cancel after the free period expires.

Subscription stuff is the BANE of modern finance. It's only sneaked in because it seems cheap at the time but these things mount up and businesses wouldn't do it if it weren't profitable. !!

Good rule to remember -- "NO PAYMENTS ARE EVER EASY" !!

Cheers

It's perpetual for the life of the product, not just throughout the current version. For $18 per System for the entire life of the product... sounds like a good investment supporting the developers. The application is excellent, and other than the MIG feature (which I don't use) and CBT (which only has a sizable advantage for large DataBase users), it has all the needed features of "typical" imaging users. The Developers are very responsive to issues (which, usually, are solved very quickly) and their Forum is very helpful as well. This move is almost a no brainer (unless you're paranoid about a Chinese development group that has been in business for over 13-yrs without any claimed nefarious user issues).

Worth a try "fer shur"... (y)

It is likely that the Free version will do all that you need. No nags, no time limited trial. You can support them with a purchase if you like it, or just keep using.

I am still exploring. I have just landed on the comparison page and you are likely right.

The GUI is a little lacking, but it's not terrible, and scheduling backups works almost exactly how I like.

Yes, the GUI takes a little time to get used to, but all the required functions are there. The window can be expanded but not to full screen, and the Theme can be changed from dark to light.

If Hasleo continues to be as good as it is... I'm really considering to save up or that 5 PC license... it's exactly what I need if I ever need the cloning function.
