Hi, I've updated my 22000.556 windows pc to .593 through UUP dump from the links in the .593 preview cumulative update thread here on the forums and now Winver says "Dev version 22000.1".

I absolutely do not know how this happened, likely somehow made the wrong ISO.
For now it seems that alla the data is still there. Can I just update to the latest build through windows update? Do I have to do it again through a new inplace upgrade by UUP dump? Do I have to select "uprgade to .593" or "cumulative update to .593" on UUP dump?

Thanks to anyone who will help

You can just Windows Update to the latest version (the easiest) and be done with it, or you can UUP dump another build and in-place upgrade again to see if it updates to a newer one.

Thank you, I think I will just inplace upgrade again, this time I will double check what build UUP dump creates. Actually the name of the ISO created was 22000.1.etc but every earlier step said 22000.593 so I can't really tell what went wrong

Here is a screenshot of what it's doing now. Is that "version 10.0.22000.1" what I have to worry about? 😭

It appears that you did not let the UUP Dump finish, it takes a great deal of time, to extract all of those files.

You're correct as it's still running, but I haven't stopped it. I'd just not waste all the time waiting for it to finish if I can already understand it's doing the wrong thing

I've never created one of them, but yes, I'd be worried that it's referencing the old version in the building process. If it were me (and doing it for the first time) I'd say kill it and start over, if it does it a second time, maybe ask on here for someone to give a step-by-step of how they create them so I know I'm doing it right.

It has to go through the entire process of just about every Win 11 Build. It took me about an hour just to extract all of the files. Once it is installed the IPRU is faster that it takes to get to the ISO.

Will see where it lands this time.
Last time it had finished for sure since it said the operation was successful and asked to press "0" to end the program

At UUP Dump website, when you're preparing the In-Place upgrade, I believe you have to check mark the three boxes shown,
to get the "latest" build.

I haven't tried doing so yet, until now I have always followed the UUP dump tutorial I've linked here earlier (just the first box checked). Seems to have updated fine though I haven't had the time to properly check yet. I will gather some more information about the other two boxes tho, thanks :)

Why bother with UUPdump when WIndows Update will do what you need?
