Hello everyone,

I've tried to update to Windows 11 but I guess all the time this error. My laptop should be able to run it without problems but I can't make it to enable TPM at bios (I've even tried with the hidden options but I can't find it), my laptop is a MSI GT80S 6QE.

About the error message I decided to bypass it but once the laptop restarts it performs a rollback and I get this error. I've read the forum and I have collected some information (attached). Please let me know if you need more information about my error.

This PC is not compatible with W11. It's a 6th generation Intel processor and it looks like the motherboard does not have TPM capability. There's no mention of TPM in the manual here, which dates from 2015 -

I would suggest your best course of action is to stay with Windows 10. It's supported till 2025.

Thanks for your fast reply. I already have installed Windows 11 on an ever older computer. I want to install it just for testing, that's why I skipped the TPM check. Just I can't make finish the install because of this error. Any help about the root cause would help, thanks.

Have a look at this MS article. Scroll down and you will see your specific error is being caused by a driver.

Two different incompatible machines can behave differently as there are many factors affecting it not just TPM, processor etc. There is a lot of things going on in the background. At the end of the day t is was not designed for Win 11

Difficult without knowing for a machine that is relatively old. Could likely be a video driver, especially if you are using the built-in Intel graphics rather than a separate video card. All I can suggest is that, whilst still on W10, make sure that all your drivers are up to date.
