Hi folks
Those who use Internet radio apps to listen to BBC Radio apps (Free to air so perfectly legal outside the UK) will soon have to use the BBC sound app. This seems annoying as it's much more convenient to have a single app for listening to and managing Free to Air Internet radio streams.

Not sure why the BBC is doing this as its not (as yet) losing any money because people are listening via 3rd party apps -- there's no advertising or charge required for BBC Radio.

The change is due to come in from end of march / early june. You'll probablly hear the warning every so often if you use 3rd party apps to listen to various BBC Radio stations.

I'm sure not all these 3rd party apps use shoutcast anyway so it *might be get roundable*.

Cheers
jimbo
