I'm not sure, but I think I must be. My PC is cabled to the router while my two printers are wireless.

I started to read that article, but gave up; it's too complicate for a non-networking aficionado.

So, generally speaking a person is only going to have 1 internet provider. Let's say you have Comcast and you have the 300Mbps package. If you had a 100Mbps interface on your computer, you would ONLY be able to get 1/3 of the advertised speed that your ISP provides. However, most people on a wired connection have gigabit, so you have 1,000Mbps on your network card. So, you can transfer 3x what your ISP even provides. So, it wouldn't help to have 2 or more connections to your ISP, as your weak point would be the ISP itself.

Basicley its not going to work among other things if you get 300 meg and 2 other users are downloading 200 meg no matter what you do you can only get 100 meg. Also windows uses a matrix and generally only use the one connection by default

You're sorta right, Wynona. You're using both your wireless connection and your ethernet connection at the same time, but the thing is that your PC is using its wired connection to the router, not the router's wireless output, and the wireless printers are communicating only on the wireless network with the router. Bottom line: the PC isn't using wireless, and the printers aren't using ethernet. But the confusion is understandable when the PC is talking to the router on the cable, and the PC is also communicating with the printers through the router. It just doesn't amount to having the PC on ethernet and wi-fi simultaneously.

That is probably the best answer, but note that the user here states upfront that you don't do this for better network performance, but to use two different networks at the same time. Windows won't manage the connections together in a way that will download faster, for instance.

Search on "link aggregation". It's a way of combining two Ethernet connections to get a higher bandwidth. Useful when, for example, communicating with a fast NAS (network attached storage) using a pair of 1Gbps Ethernet ports.

However, as far as I know, it isn't available with an Ethernet connection and WiFi.

I have a 1Gbps port on my motherboard. but my Internet access is through a Comcast gateway with a single 2.5Gbps port (plus three 1Gbps ports). I added an inexpensive PCI-E card with a 2.5Gbps port, so I can obtain the full bandwidth the gateway supports. I sometimes see 1.4Gbps down. (36 Mbps up, though.) No link aggregation.

You can't increase internet speed provided by your internet service provider.

I asked this question because today there are motherboards with wifi built-in Ethernet card and wifi that I also have, if I can get you an increase in the speed of gaming, that would be great in Croatia, the price is too high for 1GB / s.

Still not going to happen. You can make as many connections to the router/modem you want, but you are never going to get faster internet speed as there is still only one connection coming in.

The only way to get faster internet speed is to get a faster connection/ISP.

Think of it like this. If you live in a house and you have an incoming water line, it doesn't matter if you install 2 sinks, or 4 sinks, or 18 sinks. You aren't going to get any more water in the house than the pipe can provide coming into your house.

Your only real options are
1). Increase the flow rate on your current pipe coming into your house (pay for more internet)
2). Get a second water line run to the house (like 2 ISP's, or 2 connections...but then you pay at least 2x).

It all depends. Ethernet has a limit of 940Mbps on a 1Gbps connection after overhead so for example if you had WiFi6 or WiFi6E and you also have a fast connection like 1.44Gbps like I do, the Ethernet will top out at 940Mbps so basically you will be bonding both connections to get the full 1.44Gbps so it acts as a big pipe which is called NIC Teaming. You can only go as fast as what your WAN uplink is capable of. Whether Windows client based OSes supports it is another question. The router connects to the modem using a 2.5Gbps Ethernet connection.
