Is running sfc after windows update meaningful or not?


In Windows 11 22H2, there's a known issue where the issue is with the Bluetooth files. CBS.log will insist that Bluetooth files are corrupted.

Happens every time with a clean install of 11 22H2, it's related to the August CU, I suspect. And that patch-Tuesday is baked into the 22H2 ISO!

IIRC, the September patch-Tuesday had no notable issues.

Most likely a problem with the August-patch-Tuesday LCU.

Same here with bluetooth. But there is no reason not to run sfc.

Running scannow after a Windows update, Windows upgrade, clean install, etc. can be useful as there are sometimes unexpected hash mismatches.

Running scannow may find integrity violations after any of the above and may or may not fix integrity violations.
