If one is having issues with 11 why stick with it? Unless the driver issue is resolved use 10. To me that makes sense,

Did you get the point though [post #3]? There is nothing wrong with your computer - there is a silly entry in the Windows 11 Registry that says it is Windows 10 and that is probably what your game's OS information is reading then reporting back to you.

windows 11 has a lot of bugs, besides microsoft says that windows 11 is more secure than windows 10, is windows 11 at this point secure?

What security offers an operating system with so many bugs?

I think people are mixing up bugs with intended changes, if something no longer works because it was not included or a different method was employed that isn't a bug, just a slight inconvenience / annoyance, accept it and move on or stay with your Win10 security blanket. No one is making anyone change to 11 yet, it's down to individual choice, which is going to differ depending on what you use a PC for.
A lot can improve in 4 years or heaven forbid get worse!
Re programs not detecting Win11, were they written when Win11 existed? No, in which case any internal detection is probably not going to identify an unknown windows version as anything else other than a new version of the latest version they knew about which was 10, several utilities here initially were incorrectly identifying 11 as 10, mostly now fixed after updates, some programes or games simply won't bother or continue to take the easy way out and just grab it from the incorrect at present registry entry. As far as I'm concerned it's more important that things work rather than what number they are assigning to the OS.

I think people are too fixated on Windows and sometimes forgetting that it's not Windows itself, but rather the programs running on it is what makes your user experience. If the programs run as they should, that's all that matters. If not, you have to check whether they are compatible with the OS and perhaps with specific drivers (if it's a game or something special). I'm running the same old version of Acrobat I used on 7, and it works well both on 10 and 11, and so do other programs I run. As long as it stays that way, I see no difference between the OS versions. Whether Acrobat or Firefox detects the OS version correctly, I could not care less.

The user interface is a big part of the experience and Windows. If a user has an issue navigating through the interface it makes the experience not satisfying.

It seems like W11 is W10 with a different GUI and some added security features. I personally like the new GUI better than the W10, but the good thing about this, is that Windows 10 will be supported until late 2025, so no worries for now, so there is no hurry to upgrade. I for one love W11 and have upgraded all my computers to it.

At present it does seem that Win 11 is just Win 10 with a new GUI and more security features turned on. The thing we need to realize is that as Win 11 matures the similarities are going to get further and further apart. I look for some time in the near future for all noncompliant devices to either stop receiving updates or to have major stability issues.
