Win Update KB4023057 Update Health Tools - Windows Update Service components

Mine showed up yesterday, and updated in the usual stealth fashion: no notice, no reboot, no obvious anything. Just the record left behind in Update History and in Programs and Features. So whoopee! I have an update to the May 2 version! Joy!

Mine I downloaded, then after the install. I got a pop-up message that said: " You have the current (or latest) version." If I rt. mouse on any of the 6 icons in Program Files, & go to Properties - it's dated April 3rd. 2023........ any comments?

Yep. Mine too. April 3. But in Windows Update > Update History and in Control Panel > Programs and Features, the correct installation date (yesterday, 24 August) is entered for the latest version. Don't worry about the Program Files > Microsoft Update Health Tools folder dates. You're good.

Mine updated on 8/19.

Note the 2023-04, not 2023-08 as in Wisewiz's post above. Windows says I'm up to date.

I don't have the folder in Program Files, I don't have the update in Quality Updates, attempting to get it via the Expedite Package doesn't work, and running Windows Update gives me nothing... does anyone know why and have any solution(s)?

Download Update Health Tools from Official Microsoft Download Center

This package will enable you to expedite Windows 10 and Windows 11 quality updates in Microsoft Intune.

Select the Download button and save the zip file to your local machine, then extract the files for your desired operating system and architecture.

What's in the zip file...

You will keep getting KB4023057 every month or two. It will always be labeled KB4023057.
It's usually bundled with the Cumulative Update and you won't even notice it was installed. Check your Update History.

I know, hence the Expedite Package I mentioned. I chose Win11 22H2+ (my current build), but nothing happens.

You may already have it. Look for that KB4023057 in your Update History.
They've been installing it and updated versions (with same KB number) since February 2021.

If you use any Windows Update 3rd party tool, check it's "history" also.
And open powershell with Administrator privledges, and type: get-hotfix

I do have the folder in Program Files. Mine was last accessed in May 2023

It always helps us help you, if you post your computer specs and exact Windows version.
Type: winver in the Taskbar search box to get the Windows "build number".

Thanks... post it in your computer specs. That way we don't have to go looking for it.

It could be that because you're on 23H2... they don't have one for that yet... or they removed it?
I'm just on the lowly 22H2. So, I can really test.
I do know that KB4023057 only surfaced (on Win 10), for the 1st time in February 2021.
I also see it on 21H2 and 22H2 on Win 11.

I haven't seen any pressing need for it... to be honest.
The Windows Updates seem to break things just as much after KB4023057 as they did before.

For what it's worth:

First I did a troubleshooter on "Windows Update" & that came back with a yellow triangle !
I fixed that...

I opened up services - services.msc & did a restart. on the: BITS

Then I went
down to Widows Update: checked services, also did a restart.

Then I found it in Apps-Update History (Post #53 above)
and the KB 4023057....
but it could have been in there before the above or ? (in Update History?) then an sfc /scanow,,,ect... it may help someone

To verify that Update Health Tools has successfully installed, do the following:

Look for the installation files at this location (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Update Health Tools).

Ummm mine doesn't look like this but WU says it was successfully installed? What is going on here?
