Summary​

Windows 11, versions 22H2 and 23H2 share a common core operating system with an identical set of system files. Therefore, the new features in Windows 11, version 23H2 are included in the latest monthly quality update for Windows 11, version 22H2 but are in an inactive and dormant state. These new features will remain dormant until they are turned on through the “enablement package,” a small, quick-to-install “master switch” that activates the Windows 11, version 23H2 features.

The enablement package is a great option for installing a scoped feature update like Windows 11, version 23H2 as it enables an update from version 22H2 to version 23H2 with a single restart, reducing update downtime. This enables devices to take advantage of new features now. For version 22H2 devices that receive updates directly from Windows Update, devices automatically get the enablement package by installing the feature update to Windows 11, version 23H2.

The first time i saw it was last night, happens only on EDGE, on Chrome everything its fine.

I test it with extensions, and without, restart the edge, same issue.

It’s hard to know what you’re trying to show especially when youn haven't said anything about the apparent problems you’re facing. I’d suggest you start a thread about it instead because I doubt it has anything to do with the enablement package being discussed here.

the only issue I noticed is no startup sound on Windows startup... hmm... I wonder why..

When I first clicked on "Startup Sound" in Winaero, this dialog box popped up saying something like...

"You have upgraded, you may need to replace the Startup Sound"
I did just go from 22H2 to 23H2

This update caused problem with my Razer keyboard. My function keys to open programs no longer worked.
I used Macrium Reflect to revert back.

Are you using Razer Synapse to program your keyboard? I use it for my mouse and it has never lost it's programming after a update.

The shown Feature Update shown in the yellow color is installed by Microsoft WITHOUT the manual Enablement Package link from Brink. When you install 23H2 MANUALLY, then you will still see 22H2 in the history, even when your OS is 23H2. The devil is in the details.
