Same, the first time I saw this issue I literally spent 11 hours trying to figure wtf was going on only to read about it later where many people were having the same issues. At one point I was seriously considering it was my system and I should just clean wipe and start fresh, then I thought about how long that would take me to get EVERYTHING back up and running like it was, and I was not about to do that over some stupid thing like this.

When you run Disk Clean-up do you have the reported 190MB or 380MB of Windows Update files and they are still reported after Disk Clean-up has run?

I've been putting my dism and CBS logs into Claude, and its the same readings everytime. If it matters to anyone at this point; Scan and RestoreHealth is flagging superseded file versions with each update, and marking them as corrupt. Most actual corruption would involve a jumbled file structure or incorrect file size, and rather then actually looking for those its looking at outdated files instead. As to the matter of why there is a source failure, no clue, what does matter and should be noted is even if it fails with that error it is still somewhat repairing the files that it can, and the ones that can't remain with the source error.

Yep, same old DISM error still there. Nothing else seems affected, so I'm not going to chase it. SFC /SCANNOW runs clean even though DISM can't find the repair files.

Ignoring and moving on!

I installed it on three other machines, no problems with any of them.

Ran DISM... RestoreHealth and it actually completed in 30 minutes, and didn't break Windows.
Then ran DISM... CheckHealth and it said everything was fine.

Rebooted and ran it again...

Note: I still have the two reclaimable packages. LOL

Last time I ran DISM... RestoreHealth was early 2025 and it broke Windows.
So I guess this is an improvement.

For informational purposes, I was having the same RestoreHealth 0x800f0915 error attempting to run dism commands. So, I performed the online repair install and dism now works normally and completes without any errors.

I've never had a Windows Update failure. I've never had a DISM or sfc failure.

I like to think that's because I run completely clean systems with absolutely no hacks, no debloating, or any of the popular apps that modify Windows.

Already tried this and the repair installed failed on two different machines, ran the ISO overtop for the in place upgrade and repair and it changed nothing on either the machines. At this point like I said earlier I am done trying to fix Microsofts pathetic bs especially with how wildly inconsistent this bug is.

That has nothing to do anything tbh. I have two other machines one with a fresh windows install and the other the same, both received the same type errors I was getting on my main PC and only 1 one was able to correct them.

I can only tell you what my results are and what I do. My computers are always premium models, never more than three years old, and are always fully compliant.

I suppose if everyone could do that, there would be less problems. We could all just buy the same identical vanilla systems. Frankly it is surprising with the facts that the norm is not that, and there are literally trillions of different combinations of hardware, firmware, software, etc... Imagine how boring it would be if we all were forced into vanilla systems.
Personally I am not sure how helpful it is to tell folks 'my expensive and premium systems that run maybe a couple of programs, run better and have less problems' and it sucks to be you plebs who enjoy your custom gaming systems...

You should get a 1000 dollar check from MS when you figure something out and ai and MS can't figure it out. Why didn't MS just say so in the first place? I have build 26300-9445 26H2 insider and more I guess. An Outlook new sync problem with old email credentials. Fixed.

From this: in-classic-outlook use this section only (carefully and write down your delete so you can add it back the way it was originally if need be) see steps in attachment. This works for the new outlook office 365 to add your external email account back to new outlook. This some tricky stuff so, if your are happy using classic outlook then don't try this. If not like most experimenter's here let er rip and best of luck. Oh yeah. I almost forgot it took me 2 days to figure this out and the solution was at hand all along. I just had to find it. Users get errors 0x800CCC0E & 0x800CCC0F synchronizing Gmail and Yahoo accounts in classic Outlook | Microsoft Support" You don't even have to get an error code at all. This is the solution offered by MS and if you just delete your un synced email in regedit restart and ad that email back into xxx identies it will clear the sync problem with the new outlook and your gmail yahoo or what ever email was causing all the fuss. Confused. Let's just say this is one PP way to run a ship.

ISSUE

Some Gmail and Yahoo accounts stopped syncing as of February 26, 2026. Accounts could also stop syncing after a password change. In both cases when Outlook stops syncing you are no longer prompted to sign in to your account.

You get errors like the following:

Task 'Synchronizing subscribed folders for username@gmail.com.' reported error (0x800CCC0E) : 'Outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders for username@gmail.com.

Sending reported error (0x800CCC0F) or Sending reported error (0x80070057)

Check for new mail reported error (0x800CCC0E)

STATUS: FIXED

This issue was fixed by a change in the Microsoft 365 service on 3/20/26. It is possible that after the fix and you change your password, you may still see the same symptoms. After you change your password, it usually takes one hour for the OAuth token to expire. After the token expires you will get a sign in prompt from Outlook. If you do not want to wait on the hour you can do the workarounds below to force the sign in prompt.

WORKAROUND

When Outlook is not syncing, it is happening in part because Outlook is not prompting you to sign in and refresh the credentials. The workaround steps below are expected to cause Outlook to prompt you to sign in to your account. These steps do not remove or otherwise affect the account.

Close Outlook.
From the Windows Start menu, search for Credential Manager and open it. On Windows 10 you may need to open the Control Panel to access Credential Manager. For more information, please go to Accessing Credential Manager.
Under Manage your credentials, select Windows Credentials.
Scroll down to Generic credentials and locate those starting with MicrosoftOffice16_Data:OAUTH2.
Expand each of these and hover over MicrosoftOffice16_Data:OAUTH2 until it shows the full name including the tp_google_imap_Oauth2 or tp_yahoo_imap_Oauth2. These are the credentials for your account.
Select Remove for each of these with the MicrosoftOffice16_Data:OAUTH2. There are two or four of these credentials for each Gmail & Yahoo account so make sure you remove each of them.
1. If you want to avoid removing Google or Yahoo IMAP credentials except for the specific affected account, you can map the credentials by comparing them to the identities in this registry key below. Open Registry Editor and paste this path in the Address bar at the top.
  
  Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity\Identities
2. The sub keys to this registry key above include your Gmail or Yahoo identity. At the beginning of the identity registry key is a number that matches your Gmail or Yahoo credential in Credential Manager. See the examples below for reference.
3. In the case above the registry key starts with 11526349….
Restart Outlook and sign in to your Gmail or Yahoo account.
Restart Outlook again after you sign in if it does not start syncing right away.

If the first set of steps above do not address the issue, use the steps below to remove the identity registry key for the account. These steps are expected to cause Outlook to prompt you to sign in to your account. These steps do not remove or otherwise affect the account.

Close Outlook.
Right click the Windows Start Button, select Run, type Regedit and select OK.
Paste the path below in the Regedit Address Bar and press Enter.

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity\Identities
Under the Identities key, select each sub key until you find the one that matches the email address that is not syncing.
Delete the Identities registry key, example in red below. Look for the corresponding Gmail or Yahoo email address, example in purple. That is the identity key in the left column to delete. After you delete the key, restart Outlook and sign in again.

It was kind of condescending because you assumed a lot of people run tons of debloaters not knowing what they do. To answer your question, I run only things that are necessary, and don't screw with things I dont know what they do. The tweaks are very minimal to say the least. So in no way would they or could they contribute to such a widespread reported problem.
