Laggy Frames in SecondLife with latest AMD Graphics Driver

For months i never had this issue, but then again a ways back with the AMD drivers the IGPU graphics driver was always included with the Discrete Card Driver from as far as i can remember back to 2024 when first got this system. It came from Builder with both enabled, so i always left both enabled.

Lately in SecondLife the following graphic issues happen

Laggy Turn signals on the cars or Emergency unit lights
Laggy rendering of Fire, like it will animate for a couple minutes, then like sorta freeze, then re animnate again for a bit

Only notice that in SecondLife, every other game seems to run fine

I did use the 25.11.1 Driver from Release Notes which is the Combined Driver that includes Graphics driver for other RDNA Products like IGPU i guess. At this point or when next one releases am willing to try disabling Igpu again, and pray nothing ever happens with my Discrete GPU after that.

Unknown why AMD is no longer including the IGPU driver in the normal downloaded set from The Driver page as it was before.

There are multiple reported bugs in the 25.11.1 Radeon Adrenalin software/drivers. I am having some issues with my desktop PC with an RX 7900 XTX and 25.11.1.

Didn't try AMD Auto Detect Tool, i suppose i can when next AMD video driver releases, and guess go from there and or before i install the next release, just disable Igpu, and just use the Discrete 7800XT OC 16GB Card.

Will fully decide i guess when next release comes out i suppose

AFAICT it is the same driver. 25.11.1 is the one shown for my 9900X as well as the same one for 9060XT and 9070XT.

If AMD follow there normal December release schedule for AMD Radeon software/drivers there should be a new release before Xmas.

Unless i decide to redo 25.11.1 Driver Install tomorrow morning after Restarting Comcast Xfinity Gateway

Might try AMD Driver auto detect tool possibly, not entirely sure on that aspect though.

If i do decide to attempt to fix tomorrow

Should i use AMD Cleanup Utility or Display Driver Uninstaller first? prior to doing a reinstall of 25.11.1 Driver

That is a good question I have no answer for. However the Adrenalin installer has an option for a Clean install itself. Not sure if that would work the same as the AMD Cleanup Utility or even DDU.

Also i should mention i was having out of memory errors with Firestorm 64bit SecondLife Viewer and Virtual Memory was up to 73MB just about, so now its on fixed size, unknown if that has anything to do with SecondLife Rendering issues or not. But that is only game i seem to have any problems in, rest seem to work fine.

Am willing to go back to System Managed Swap File, and hope and pray all works well after next AMD video driver update is all installed

Re: SecondLife, there have been reports of opengl driver problems supposedly with the 25.11.1 combined driver.
Under investigation at this stage from what i have read.
