Nope, that lets me type the percent sign but doesn't actually perform the calculation.
The only key combo I can find that works is Shift+2, (the @ sign), gives you square root!

I'm looking at it now, I just got back from breakfast to loads of down alerts.

The server is showing nothing, so I'm thinking it was a network issue.
