Good morning / afternoon folks.

One day of cool, then one day of warm, then back to cool.

OK, so this place my Wife is in is just plain lazy/incompitent.

She told me she was told her shoes were lost in the transfer. I go to the office, they said they inventory everything that comes in with a patient, they said no shoes came in.

I run to the hosp, go to both floors, no shoes. I get a hold of someone in social services & they contact the ambulance service, no shoes found.

I end up going back to the hosp & going in the rooms she was in to check, no shoes.

I get home & she called & says that they found her shoes, someone stuck them in a drawer in her room.

So when I go into the home today I'm going to tell their nursing home supervisor their inventory people need to be more observant or get retraining. And that I didn't enjoy wasting gas/time/effort most of the day yesterday to try to recover something that was already there.

Well, I'm off to have one hell of a talk with the staff.

Turns out they are also pushing my Wife to eat her meal fast, something she can't do due to her gastric bypass. If she eats at a normal pace, she gets sick & throws up. But they keep asking her "are you done yet?' shortly after they serve her.

I hate the damn nursing homes around here..... I hope she heals up soon so I can get her the hell out of that place.

You all take care & have a good safe day:-)

Hello Bree
Good Morning Everyone........ :yawn::coffee:
I only got 4 hours sleep.... I got caught up in setting up a virtual network with pfsense so my AI-computers get an isolated network with only internet access through VPN connection, so the AI-agent can leak my static public IP.

Good Afternoon Sheikh :-) :coffee:

Good Morning Mr and Mrs Borg :-) :coffee: :coffee:

darn, that is really bad if they cant keep track of peoples stuff they have with them coming there.
And what a F.. forcing her to eat fast.. Hit them with a frying pan from me and tell them its from me in Sweden.

I believe you when you say you hate the nursing homes there if they do this stupid things.. That with the food is not only bad manners.. its putting a patient at risk.

So yeah give them hell when you give them the talk. ⚡💥:ffs:💥⚡

UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to lid hinges starting to break up this laptop has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven in 'Other systems' to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

I've now clean installed 25H2 and used Garlin's scripts to update Secure Boot to CA 2023 and revoke the PCA 2011 certificates. It's new role is to test secure boot issues.

    Info for 2021-2026:
fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

Good morning / afternoon folks.

One day of cool, then one day of warm, then back to cool.
Good morning Borg.
Today is my last warm day for quite some time to come.....

🤯:ffs:

First cup. I'm allowed as much coffee as I wish today. (Within reason.) She-who-need-not-be-obeyed has arranged for yours truly to drive to the city today for the girls annual dental visit/check up. I'm upstairs, on the OTVOC, listening to a classic piece of science fiction by a Russian author, whose name I can barely pronounce. Looking out my window reveals both wind shields covered in frost. This should change by noon and hopefully I'll be making it into the city around then. I used to look forward to these trips. Not so much now.

This is when we stock up on winter supplies and get stuff we can't easily obtain in town before the deep freeze sets in. The highway up this way can get horrendous in the winter and for the most part I refuse to access it until well into the following year. Sometimes, weather depending, I will take a short trip but the weather can change on a dime and driving in a snow storm in the dark is dangerous even if your tires are good and your lights work fine. I'm surprised that not all the snow melted this time. It's still on rooftops and piles of snow are found around buildings. Usually it all disappears after the long weekend. Anyway, it's time to gear up. Wish me a safe journey! Ciao! :-)

Good morning Marie.

I assume you meant to say 'so the AI-agent can't leak my static public IP.' :ROFLMAO:

That's the sort of weather I expect to see from tomorrow on.....
Yeah... to little coffee when i did the post. *LOL* 🤣
.. best to edit the post with a note for the future generations 2020's history. 🤣

Okay.. i have not looked what weather we are going to have tomorrow, as i don't plan on going outside.. so +20C or -20C wont make any difference then. :-)

Edit:
i added an edit to the post for future history. 😁

Good Morning Everyone........ :coffee:
I only got 4 hours sleep.... I got caught up in setting up a virtual network with pfsense so my AI-computers get an isolated network with only internet access through VPN connection, so the AI-agent can can't leak my static public IP.
Edit a bunch of hours later... to little coffee and bad typing became CAN leak instead of CAN'T leak..
Lack of morning coffee is as bad as typing drunk. 🤣

I've been keeping an eye on the weather, and been planning for a while to make the most of this last warm day.
I spent the afternoon at the RHS gardens at Wisley enjoying the Autumn colours.....

Ciao! :-)
Good Morning Scannerman :-) :coffee:

It sounds as you have a busy day. I wish you a safe and smooth journey. :-)
