Starting to feel like the folks working on Firefox now do not know what the hell they are doing.
Update after update to address issues they created.

Maybe they are just trying to impress inexperienced users that they have a newer and better browser since others are several versions behind (Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome were the same version number with Mozilla Firefox previously).

I think that they are just releasing Final Releases that are not ready for prime time, and like you said trying to keep up with the Big Guys.

I seem to recall someone from Mozilla saying a few years back (may be a bit more than a few years) that they were only going to have a Final Release of Firefox every 2 weeks to 'simplify' things fo their users.

I wonder what happened to that? And, yes - I get the impression they're trying to keep up with the "Big Guys" lately (and it's also job security - people keeping themselves 'gainfully employed' which probably has a lot to do with it as well, same as with the other browsers, a lot of other software and Windows itself.

Which is why a lot of software (and, again, Windows itself) gradually becomes 'bloated' with useless features which most people would never use or want. Oh, and moving things like menus around for no good reason (Windows 11, I'm looking at you).
