I'm curious. Is there any advantage to updating this driver?

I'm on Win 11 and this must be the Win 10 driver. (due to In-Place Upgrade from Win 10 to Win 11)
They don't even have the intel(r) l211 gigabit network connection driver at my motherboard's website.

Well... they do have it, but under the Windows 10 listing, and it's the same version.


They do have the driver here... but the intel(r) l211 isn't listed.

I have a Intel i211 nic for my on motherboard networking..
there is a new driver for Windows 11 for it as of
- Intel LAN Drivers (i211)(UWD)(Win11)(64bit)(v14.01.24.00)(2025-10-03)
just look in the Win11 folder

Though I upgraded to a 2.5 Gbps NIC via a PCIe x4 link slot from TP-LINK/Realtek drivers..
$22.48 currently 25% price.

I only pay for 300/300.
My motherboard website has no updated Intel driver.

I never mess with drivers unless absolutely necessary.
I flash the BIOS and update the chipset drivers. The rest are from 2020, when I built this comp.

aaah.. but the motherboard vendor is not always the best place to get drivers if you want most up to date..
especially for older motherboards.. ie.. they stop updating the listings at some point.

as for speed its your choice... ;)
