If I hit PrntScrn, snip-n-sketch pops up, I have to Esc it then go again so ShareX will take over. And yes, ShareX is the default, and yes, I have Print Screen key disabled in Windows Settings.

I did all of those things, but Dropbox being a 3rd party driver still had an option to grab PrtScr requests and upload them to your Dropbox. That stole the PrtScr key and didn't allow Snag-It to use the key. Truthfully, I never thought of Dropbox when I was trying to solve the problem, I stumbled onto the fix by accident.

FWIW, many mice also appear as keyboards, I had to hunt down that issue a few months ago, that was the first time that SnagIt stopped working. Turns out the Logitech software thinks my mouse is a mouse and a keyboard because it's programmable. I had to tell it not to screw with the PrtScr key in both places.

MX Creative Console & Actions Ring
  • Import Profiles: Now you can import a profile for any device, regardless if you clicked on the “+” add button from a different device.
  • Various Bug fixes and improvements:
    • Fixed the double profile extension when importing profiles.
    • Correctly displaying Analog element that were displayed as discrete on Actions Ring overlay
    • Duplicated actions inside Multiactions are now independent.
    • Fixed the “Open Application” action text not updating.
    • Multiple UI visual fixes.
New features
  • Added an overlay message when Show Mode is activated or deactivated for MX Brio or Brio 500.
  • Added webcam preview pausing when the Options+ UI is no longer in focus. This reduces possible conflicts with other apps that want to use the webcam. This new behavior can be switched off in the webcam settings.
  • Dropped support for macOS Ventura.

I'm almost confident that I have all my issues resolved with the Clipboard and PrtScrn high jacking, by removing and uninstalling/unlinking all devices from all machines, and then resetting Flow using only the Easy Switch key. No border escaping.
So far so good! 🤞

I pretty much gave up on flow between my three machines as half the time it never wants to work when I need it and go to use it for sharing files. I just use share with/nearby sharing from the file explorer menu to move files. It's more clicks but always reliable and works when I want.

I pretty much gave up on flow between my three machines as half the time it never wants to work when I need it and go to use it for sharing files. I just use share with/nearby sharing from the file explorer menu to move files. It's more clicks but always reliable and works when I want.

Yeah, it's a tragic mess!!! And, a huge pain to get it working properly, if at all!!!
I've limited myself to only floating between machines using the manual switches. Seems to be holding it's own.

Trying to switch between machines with flow became useless as I was constantly having to reconnect machines that won't stay connected with flow or restart the Logi Plugin Service to get it working again. Just wasn't worth the hassle. However, I do have good success switching between machines routinely using the Actions Ring now. It's become pretty stable and DOES stay connected especially with the latest Logitech Options+. Does the same as the manual switches but from a couple mouse clicks on the desktop vs flipping the mouse and hitting the switch.

Good idea..., the only inconvenience is, you have to emulate the Actions Ring on all machines, and I invoke the Actions Ring with a keyboard button cuz I ran out of mouse buttons..., and, often I'll just crank my neck around to grab an item off another machine, (usually screenshots laying on the Desktop), I rarely go near the other machines keyboards, unless of course I'm workin on it!

Yeah, sometimes I forget how complex your whole desktop environment is. I'm a simple guy with simple needs so I try to keep it simple lol.

On my far Laptop, the Nearby Sharing UI never shows any devices, for some reason!
