  • DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation Available Now
    • Update to DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Frame Generation on GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs. Select “Dynamic” mode to intelligently adjust the number of generated frames during gameplay to a target frame rate to balance frame rate, image quality and responsiveness.
    • New DLSS 4.5 Multi Frame Generation 5X and 6X modes on GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs increase 4K frame rates in path-traced titles. Paired with NVIDIA Reflex, they generate additional frames with minimal impact to responsiveness.
    • DLSS 4.5 Frame Generation model update on GeForce RTX 50 Series and GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs enhances in-game user interfaces by incorporating additional engine data available for some games, improving visual quality and clarity of static user interface elements.
    • For optimal image quality and peak performance when using ShadowPlay, the latest GeForce Game Ready Driver is required.
    • Access these DLSS features under Graphics > Program Settings > Driver Settings > DLSS Override - Frame Generation mode

The latest version of the Nvidia app is not compatible with Nvidia GPUs that are no longer supported since driver version 581.XX! I thought it was just the drivers that were no longer supported.

I hope the next version of the Nvidia app, above 11.0.6.386, will be compatible.

I wonder if I just paid too much..

my gfx card, a EVGA/Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 8GB XC3 model is now out of warranty for me...
and fan #3 has died again.. even though I have replaced them all with replacement fans from EVGA..
but they no longer have any more spare fans so I ordered a new gfx card from Amazon yesterday or was it Monday...

how does it look to all you guys here?

I already ordered the new gfx card..
it should be arriving today in the next 6 hours... or so..

thx for the link I can replace the fans again and give the card as an upgrade to my brother.
though he may need a new PC anyway.. his is a first gen AMD Ryzen CPU and the gfx card is a hand me down he bought off me..
a GTX 1070 Ti 8GB.

I paid $669.99 for my current one so $30 more is no big deal...

I recall paying somewhere around $800 for 8800 Ultra in 2007. Inflation would have that at ~$1250 in today's dollars. Games for PC and consoles have stayed around the same price of $50-60 for the last several decades.

Very good card, I have the 5080 Prime OC version. I paid €1125, which is the MSRP in euros for the RTX 5080. By the way, at the same store where I bought it, it's now €1600!

It's not noisy. I tested it with the 3DMark demo and I think the Unigine benchmark.
For now, I only have one game installed, with which I reached 600fps. There's no coil wine.

In synthetic tests with 3DMark, Unigine, and GPU-Z (the PCI Link test), it does produce coil wine, but it's very, very low, negligible, and always the same coil wine. I have to put my ear right up to the top of the case, which is on the floor, to hear it properly. I know that you can't compare coil wine from one card to another, it can vary.

I believe your price is $100 above the MSRP for an RTX 5070. There was the PNY, but they have fan issues that make annoying squeaking noise according to online user feedback. Cheap MSI cards like the Shadow and Ventus are noisy, at least the 5070 Ti Ventus version tested by TechPowerUp. The Shadow 3X is identical. Compared to other 5070 Ti cards, the Ventus is noisier without having better temperatures. In fact, they run worse. It must be the same for the Ventus and Shadow RTX 5070, as they have the same cooling system.

The RTX 5080 Prime OC has a vapor chamber, yours does not, but the RTX 5070 being less powerful, this should not increase the fan noise.

- ASUS PRIME GeForce RTX 5070 12GB OC Edition, GPU by NVIDIA.
is working nicely it tops out at 139°F playing Final Fantasy 14 online..
so far.. that is down from 199°F with the EVGA RTX 3070 Ti 8GB..

I am gonna get the fan replaced and give it to my brother for his PC.
or I can try and get my brother to buy a 2 fan card from 5xxxx series if I can find one in case his PC case is too small...

AI craze indeed.. used for seach results it helping a little bit..
but AI in the military is a REAL BAD idea.. I guess they never watched the terminator movies...
