 NVIDIA App

Release Date: April 16, 2026

What's new in NVIDIA App 11.0.7

New Updates:

  • DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation Available Now
    • Update to DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Frame Generation on GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs. Select “Dynamic” mode to intelligently adjust the number of generated frames during gameplay to a target frame rate to balance frame rate, image quality and responsiveness.
    • New DLSS 4.5 Multi Frame Generation 5X and 6X modes on GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs increase 4K frame rates in path-traced titles. Paired with NVIDIA Reflex, they generate additional frames with minimal impact to responsiveness.
    • DLSS 4.5 Frame Generation model update on GeForce RTX 50 Series and GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs enhances in-game user interfaces by incorporating additional engine data available for some games, improving visual quality and clarity of static user interface elements.
    • For optimal image quality and peak performance when using ShadowPlay, the latest GeForce Game Ready Driver is required.
    • Access these DLSS features under Graphics > Program Settings > Driver Settings > DLSS Override - Frame Generation mode
  • Automatic Shader Compilation (Beta)
    • Rebuilds DirectX 12 shaders while your system is idle, reducing the frequency of game runtime compilation after driver updates

If I recall correctly they dropped support for those cards after the v580 branch...
so v581.80 is the last version to still support the GTX 960..

@pietcorus2 ooh ok.. was just trying to be helpful.. :(

Does not fit on GTX960........... 🛠️
Yes to bad. It's an older Geforce card. It support stopped with Win7, Win10/11. The latest version for it was 581.80 in Nov 2025. I have the same problem with my old GTX1080 in my 2nd system. But I don't play games on that PC. I could but not the latest and newest DLSS hungry games. I rather play such games on my new and modern system fitted with a RTX3060Ti card. The main focus of NVIDIA is to keep updating (well... mainly their RTX 50 series, their "problemchild" serie.) their new RTX series. That support will stop in the end; we all know this. My GTX1080 was introduced in 2016, now nearly 10 years later they stopped. Not a big supprise. I don't mind because I am not updating my older system anyways. I rather update my newer system with a budget in mind.

Saw JayzTwoCents latest video of a ASUS Matrix Platinum RTX5090 card (Only $3800...:eek1:) A very power hungry card; 800W max, so your system must have a 1000/1200W powersupply.... Just crazy! Would never buy this in 3800 years.

Nvidia's next-gen RTX 60 series might not debut until the second half of 2027, says leaker — rumor claims Rubin architecture will power future consumer GPUs

Not surprising with the shortage and cost of ram because of bloody AI killing the market.
Another reason why Nvidia is not going to release the RTX Super series.

NVIDIA appears to have pushed back the stable rollout of the NVIDIA App update that enables DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution overrides without opting into beta features. The company's GeForce blog post now says the update "launches next week," replacing the earlier "January 13th" wording that circulated last week.

NVIDIA App Beta 11.0.6

Our new NVIDIA app update officially launches January 13th, but if you want to use DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution today, you'll need to opt in to the beta in Settings > About. Then, download and install our new GeForce Game Ready Driver from the app's Drivers tab, or from GeForce.com.

There have been a lot of rumors floating around NVIDIA's RTX 50 GPUs and how memory shortages are impacting the supply/prices, and we thought we should do a detailed report on our findings, which paints a whole different picture of the ongoing situation.

Since November, when the memory crisis started to creep into the consumer hardware segment, there have been various reports highlighting that GPU vendors, both NVIDIA & AMD, will increase prices, and more recently, reports that NVIDIA will be entirely ending production of certain GPUs in its inventory.

We went over and asked around some reputable industry sources on the matter, sources close to NVIDIA, sources close to their AICs, and sources at various AICs. Our findings have provided us with more information on the matter, and while the memory shortage's impact is real and affects the entire consumer market, most of the information is either not conveyed appropriately or presented in a way that's utterly devoid of truth. So here's what we were able to get, and bear with us, the report will tackle various aspects of the consumer GPU market, particularly NVIDIA GPUs.

Public Statement to Clarify Recent Reports Regarding the ASUS GeForce RTX™ 5070 Ti and RTX™ 5060 Ti 16 GB

We would like to clarify recent reports regarding the ASUS GeForce RTX™ 5070 Ti and RTX™ 5060 Ti 16 GB. Certain media may have received incomplete information from an ASUS PR representative regarding these products.

The GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB have not been discontinued or designated as end-of-life (EOL). ASUS has no plans to stop selling these models.

Current fluctuations in supply for both products are primarily due to memory supply constraints, which have temporarily affected production output and restocking cycles. As a result, availability may appear limited in certain markets, but this should not be interpreted as a production halt or product retirement.

ASUS will continue to support the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB and is working closely with partners to stabilize supply as conditions improve.

OAT, that wasn't a comment for everyone. The day before, I'd seen Wolfzz's post, "Nvidia has stopped producing the NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti and 5060 Ti 16GB, saying they've reached 'end of life,'" which interested me, i saw brink's post the next day, a continuation of Wolfzz's post. It was time for me to go to sleep, so I posted and logged off. That's why I posted that I'd read it tomorrow.

It was a personal post for brink, in a way. I should have liked his post and said I was going to sleep in my own post.

I would never make a "general post" to say what I'm going to read in the following days.

Hello!

I recommend to always install the official nVidia drivers for best performance. A few days ago, I had installed latest nVidia Forceware 591.74 Studio, but recently I realized that almost any video in MPC-HC played in software, without hardware acceleration. I tried various settings until I tried to launch nVidia Control Panel to check settings there and realized that Windows Update had replaced the Jan 2026 driver with an older Dec 2025 driver and of course had removed nVidia Control Panel! For some unknown reason there was some incompatibility and LAV filters in MPC-HC could not detect there was CUDA hardware acceleration available and resorted to software only, unless I switched Hardware decoder from DXVA2 to CUVID. Once I reinstalled latest official driver from Jan 2026, everything was back to normal. My nVidia card was detected properly and hardware acceleration was enabled with DXVA2. That's why I insist in all my hardware posts to use the official drivers and not rely on Windows Update. The same goes for other devices too, not only graphics. If you want the best possible performance and access to all features from your precious hardware, avoid easy solutions such as Windows Update or driver tools. They usually install an older version and only the basics, no Control Panel or any other device tools.
