Leak of upcoming features for Windows 11


There's an interesting personalization feature coming to Windows 11 - Stickers for your wallpaper.

You'll be able to configure them using a new Sticker Editor app, they'll persist across wallpaper changes as long as you don't use a slideshow, use Fill fit & have only 1 monitor.

System admins will be able to disable these using a policy called Education\AllowStickers. The single monitor and Fill fit limitations are quite strange, hopefully just an early implementation quirk.

Looks like tiny semblances of tablet mode may be coming back to Windows 11, a taskbar setting labeled "Automatically hide the taskbar when using your device as a tablet" is in the works.

Have you seen new more upcoming features, one of them is the "Rounded Corners Radius" which has a separate "Context Menu" entry to adjust "Rounded Corners" radius with just one click :winkt: …

Isn't it good enough? We have more new features for you but as new "LEAKED" features in next months, please, please be patient, wait for it...

Speaking for me, I don't think Windows should be bland with no life. I think MS should spend more effort in actually improving Windows 11 and less effort in the cosmetic look of Windows 11. IMHO, young children would be more interested in rounded corners, new emojis and desktop stickers than grown adults.

And these little things are the things making Macs so popular. Even the average grown adult seems to like these things. Adolescence and teens especially like them. It's us techies who could care to a lesser degree, it seems.

@ 66 years old I couldn't care less about the fluff. I also doubt that any companies large or small are all excited about MS adding all this junk to Win 11.

And adults should be more concerned with performance and usability than round corners.

The fact that there's all the noise concerning Windows having round corners is quite frankly.... nonsense. I've yet to find round corners hinder any part of Windows 11 performance or useability. None!!!

I'm glad Microsoft spruced up 11's looks. And those arguing "looks" is the only thing Windows 11 has are misguided. And I'm 63.

Perhaps so, but they have money burning a hole in their pocket, and it is aesthetics, unfortunately, that partially sell a product. I like my system to look a certain way. That's why I tweak it. But I won't exchange quality and utility over aesthetics. Ergo, one reason I'm not a Mac user.

Agreed. I don't even bother. I just take my square shot and call it a day. Of course, I clearly am not into graphic arts. But round seems to be in. I mean, look at the forum. We're not typing in rectangles, we're typing in ovals. All the corners are rounded here as well.

AFAIK in "Graphic Design" world rounded shapes/things (even subtle) are more attractive than pointy shapes (in human mind or unconscious mind). Mac did it before MS and they did it as great way as they could, they grabbed the eyes (users) step by step, at first step they worked on an ironed clothes for their cripple OS (I am not Mac user but I am crazy about its UI which is simple, polished and easy to use) but MS noticed the matter with delay and is working on it with delay, too. I hate the new Win 11 taskbar disability (you can not even drag a file on an app icon in taskbar to open it) but my mind have preferred aesthetic to its disability and I think the only thing which has made my decision to stay with Win 11 (instead of Win 10) is these little (tiny) visual eye-catching elements, they have their hidden impact on our minds. They know what they are doing.
