Hello,
have WIN11 in my laptop Lenovo T450s. Using it for some months without any problems.
Now I need to reinstall (clean install) of windows 11. I downloaded ISO file from microsoft, created USB installation via Rufus.

My problem is laptop wont boot from USB stick. Don't know why. I recreted win11 installation 3x, still same problem. After I choose USB stick, laptop restarts and boot into windows normally.

I booted from USB (win11) in past without problems but I forget what I changed.

Thank you for all your tips.

Sounds like the USB may not be bootable. Can you check it on another PC?

Hold shift down and then select power...reset. Do you get the option to start from a USB device?

Turn off 'secure boot' in BIOS but remember to re-enable later.

Hi guys, fixed. There was a problem with usb created by rufus.
Today I used an official MS tool and Bolt works fine.

hi efor
There was a problem with usb created by rufus....
your uefi /legacy boot is UEFI Only that mean gpt
so in refus:
Partition diagram: GPT Destination system: UEFI (Non CSM)

nb : If you want to activate the UEFI + BIOS hybrid function, press the ALT + E keys simultaneously in Rufus.

Or just use Microsoft's own Media Creation Tool to create the flash drive. I don't know why people mess with Rufus unless they want some special feature like bypass hardware checks for Windows 11.

Amazing what can be accomplished when you just use the simple method/tool provided by Microsoft, isn't it?

Thanks for revealing this trick! In older Rufus versions there was an option to use DD mode that would boot in both UEFI and Legacy BIOS mode, but in versions 3.xx was removed. I will try ALT+E next time I need to create a USB.
