I like Smooth Scrolling enabled, I can live with the Google Maps glitch, but...
now, in Sumatra PDF, if the pdf hasn't had mouse focus and you scroll on it, it flies to the end of the document instantaneously...,
... the horizontal scroll button for volume does the same, 100% - 0% in the equivalent of one ratchet click!

Yeah. These types of glitches is why I killed Smooth Scrolling.

It's gotta be the beta OS you're running, along with Options+ (at least for Google Maps).

I don't have any issues with smooth scrolling but then again, I'm just running "Options" and my OS is the RTM version of 11.

K..., the Google Maps glitch only happens on Chrome on W10!

The volume slider glitch only happens when running Audirvana!

Not sure about the Sumatra thing..., I'll get back to ya...

Happened on nonBeta OS for me. I haven't run any of the IP builds for well over 3 years now. I had issues with Smooth Scrolling in various areas, on WIn 10 and Win 11, using regular Options too. And most often it was something exactly like what Edwin described - it would super scroll only very certain, particular things, in certain situations. One of those was in a game I played - and thus Smooth Scrolling went out the door.

If they would allow that setting to be app specific I'd love to leave it on, because when it works (which admittedly is most of the time), it works fabulously.

Not meaning to say you don't have an issue, just trying to figure out why.

Anyway, for me, no issues as I use smooth scrolling all the time particularly in Photoshop when zooming or resizing the spot removal or dodge and burn circle. I also use it at times in Edge. This has also been under Windows 10, and as noted I can't use Options+ as my keyboard isn't supported.

Well it is not beta OS related, and it's not Windows 11 specific either, and it's not even Options+ related.

I think it is a misimplementation by certain apps / browsers / websites / games relating to smooth scrolling. I could turn it on and see if it works any better, but I would likely find something breaking soon and get frustrated again lol.

Beats me!!!
Desktop with Windows 10, Laptop with Windows 11...,
Identical mice for each, same version of Options+ with identical settings...,
Identical versions of 3 different browsers on both machines and the scrolling reacts different across all of them!?!?!?

The MX Master 3S is nice!
Higher DPI, silent clicks...,
and, the little things like showing actual battery percentage, etc...

"Options" Might not show them at the same time, but mousing on an item shows battery life



Just a parlor trick to get you to by their latest toys while the previous models are still perfectly fine :)

I bought this carbon fiber Leofoto tripod and this Acratech GXP head (now $100 dollars higher) in 2020, but I don't do video. Because the kit is so light and the tripods folds to 19 inches it travels with me anytime I take my gear out.

I'm Mostly wildlife Stills and landscape work and usually set up two tripods one for the camera and one for a Scope this setup, or should I say setups allow me to just use the one tripod - and it's a lot lighter than two The Geared head is for framing landscape's and is great for macro work

I'm with Edwin - while it may seem like little things, the ability to set the movement at a granular level is 1000x better than in previous MS series mice. The soft clicks are OK, I never minded the other ones, and these occasionally (very rarely) feel like they might be *too* soft for my tastes.

Overall, though, the 3S is a worthy upgrade.

Now if I could just figure out how to avoid the scum, as Edwin mentioned. This thing, all the MX series, really, *really* love gathering my fingerprint oils....quickly.
