I need another MX Master 3 to get Flow to work!!!

One thing that's missing though is Duo Mode.

1) Another? Yours not working?

Naw, it's working..., I just have to unify the receiver.

DUOLINK is 4 extra gestures using the FN key..., maybe have to have MX Keys for it to work?

Ahhh. On a desktop, so no DUOLINK because of no Fn key. no MX keyboard so no MX key(s).

I have the MX keys but a pretty normal M705. I dropped Logitech software a long time ago. Do you like the functions?

Wouldn't flow work with any compatible mouse? I have both the MX Master 2S, and the MX Anywhere 2S and Flow works with both.

Also have the Logitech Craft Keyboard which looks like the Keys but with a Crown knob.

I just enlisted, since I use the Logitech Wave Keyboard K350 and Mouse M510, M705, M585, and a couple of bluetooth ones.

Yeah but, Options+ won't install if you don't have a supported mouse on the other PC, I'll just ping-pong the receiver and unify it to both PC's.

I guess however, if you have a device that requires "Options+", that'll be an issue. I have "Options" on both laptop and desktop and both my mice work with Flow.

That said, does the new MX Master 3S require the Options+ software ???

No, rather, Options+ requires the MX Master 3, or other supported device.

Yeah, kinda like how Options would not support older mice that SetPoint did support, before being phased out.

Yup. And with Edwin's critical eye for UI, that should say somehing about how it looks. As for how it works - I still haven't gotten around to working with flow. BUT I did install the Chrome specific settings was able to, indeed, change the horizontal scroll wheel to horizontal scrool from tab switching. Over all, Options+ feels smoother, but I have a lot more testing to do before I call it a success. It definitely has improved in some key areas, though, that much I'll grant Logi.

If you can use regular Options, this should not be that much of a problem (on the mouse side of things - don't have a Logi KB to see how different that is).

From preliminary checking, John, it looks like my mouse and keyboard are a bit long in the tooth for this new thing.

I have the Wave keyboard because of Carpal Tunnel issues. The included mouse in the combo recently changed to the M705, but the keyboard hasn't changed in years. I think there is a newer one, similar to, but not an actual Wave.

I may not get to test because I'm a widow and retired, so not really able to pay $99 for a mouse and/or keyboard. Seems as how Logitech is pretty proud of their stuff.

In all seriousness, if the software requires hardware newer than what you have, no worries. In the end, you gotta take care of you first. And Options is not going away quickly either, I don't believe.

I can test the mouse features but not KB as I don't have a Logi KB. But the mouse side of things works fantastically. And no crazy side loaded apps that run in the background for now reason either. *cough Logi downloader cough*

If I could still have used Set Point I would have, but as I progressed with newer and newer versions of the MX series of mice, I was forced to move forward from SetPoint to Options. SetPoint was the KING of Logi software, and super extensible, with 3rd devs making profiles for all sorts of Logi devices back in the day. Alas, progress neutered a lot of those devices, both because of lack of software development for them as well as diminishing returns - as with any manufacturer, they want you to keep up to date with their newer products, which is not always a reasonable prospect, and particularly when the newer products don't fill your needs.

Like, the original MX Mouse had the auto shift scroll wheel, but there was an iteration after (second gen MX, or MX 2 gen, IIRC) there that did not do auto shift - and that made me madder than a hornet. And a lot of other people as well, as that feature was quickly brought back in a newer device.

But their software has fully changed from extensible and user and dev friendly to ... not so much. Although more recent versions of Options do have a 'developer' setting in them that allow the user to install the SDK (and, I presume, develop their own addons or extensions for the Options software).

That setting is currently not in Options+
