Anyway, both Options and Options+ are far better than Setpoint, but you need a supported device. I'm using "Options" since my Logitech "Craft" keyboard isn't compatible with Options+, even though my MX Master 3 mouse is.

Back in 2017 I bought a Logitech MK550 keyboard/mouse combo. It included the K350 keyboard and M510 mouse. The keyboard required SetPoint while the mouse required Options. I can now use Options+ with the mouse.

I suggest anyone that is having problems with the current version of Options+ do one of the following:

• Install a previous versions of Options+
• Install Options if your device is supported by it

To get a previous version of Options or Options+ go to the Logitech website and search for your device.



Select Downloads and then Windows 11.

Click Download Now to download the current version, or

Show all downloads to show previous versions to download

I simply use Options for both my devices as I don't see anything Options+ is offering to require me to have both installed.

BTW, I use to love that K350 keyboard. Had two of them before moving on to my Craft keyboard. Really good keyboard that K350 is.

One of the main reasons I selected the MK550 keyboard/mouse combo with the K350 keyboard is because I wanted dedicated audio volume and mute buttons. Not all keyboards have them.

I had a lot problems with the K350 keyboard because it was very intermittent from the start. Moving the dongle to different USB ports and finally to a USB 2.0 port seemed to solve the problem. A few months ago the problem returned. Nothing seemed to help. I finally tried another Logitech Unifying receiver from a Logitech M325 mouse. The K350 keyboard worked again. I bought a new Logitech Unifying receiver for the keyboard. I feel kind of dumb now because the Unifying receiver was probably faulty from the start. BTW, the MK550 keyboard/mouse combo were the only wireless devices I had at the time I bought them so I didn't have anything to swap with.

Yeah, it probably was a bad dongle. Seen that before. Have a few of those laying around.

Pretty much all the Logitech keyboards I've owned in the last 20 years or so has had volume control. My Logitech Craft keyboard has a crown (knob) that's multi-functional for various apps to also include controlling volume.



For me, I don't know anything but Logitech mice and keyboards

I have Logitech mice a plenty, but the only Logi KB I've had was the G-15 (gen 2). I liked it well enough, but when I built my rig a few years back, I swapped over to a SteelSeries Apex Pro. It has a nice but very subtle roller bar that I can control volume (or several other functions), so I do understand the need for the volume control on the keyboard, particularly now that I am using Bud type headphones as my daily for meetings and such. The granular control is a bit better with the KB wheel than trying to use the swipe function on the buds, and it is much more accurate, for sure.

My Mice are the MX Master, MX Master 2, MX Master 3, MX Master 3 for business and MX Master 3S. Only the last 2 use the new Bolt receiver, so the Master 3, even with a unifying receiver, can only be used with Options+ via BT, which does limit the functionality just a bit.

But the 3 for business and 3S both pair just fine via the Bolt receiver, the same one in fact, and I have 2 spares just in case (one for use with a laptop and one a backup for either of the two in use) as I, too, have had issues here and there with dongles being goofy.

Come to think of it, though, it's been a minute since I've even had a dongle issue. At least 4-5 years now, IIRC.

While there are a lot of features of the SS KB I Have that I would never give up, including software-defined individual actuation on the 'mechanical' (electrically-controlled) keys, I doubt I will ever pick another mouse than Logitech. After over 30 years, I've learned - they just work. And the hyperscroll wheel is something I never, ever want to give up.
