Solved Looked High and Low

I ran into a small shortcut about a month ago and I really love it. But since my PC crashed on me, I've lost it. The program made you put a new shortcut on your desktop and everytime you hit it, it would reboot the PC and take you directly to the BIOS. Does anyone know where this little program is, or create one?

The Windows shortcut to access the BIOS is to create a desktop shortcut with the command shutdown /r /fw /t 1. You will need to right-click this new shortcut, go to Properties, click Advanced, and check the box for "Run as administrator" to create a functional shortcut. Double-clicking it will restart your computer directly into the BIOS/UEFI menu.

…Right-click a blank area on the desktop and go to New > Shortcut.

In the wizard that opens, click in the box underneath Type the location of the item, and enter the following:

Shutdown /r /fw /t 1

If you’re not familiar with these commands, /r means restart, /fw means boot to firmware (aka the BIOS) and /t introduces a delay in seconds before the restart begins. In our example above, that’s one second.

Call this new shortcut Restart to BIOS. Right-click your new shortcut on the desktop and select Properties. Click the Advanced button.

In the Properties box, tick the Run as administrator box and click on OK a couple of times to close the windows…
