Ah but if you want your network to work as it should drop back to Windows 11 23H2. Somewhere between 23H2 and 24H2 is where this whole networking issue started. I can't even get the PC I'M using to see itself in Explorer>Network on 24H2 or 25H2 so I have limited ALL my PCs to 23H2 with exception of 2 of them to keep trying to make things work right. Microsoft did this with 24H2 trying to "make things secure".

The OP has not reported any networking defects.
The OP, like all of us, has a defective File explorer, Network section.

I can't even get the PC I'M using to see itself in Explorer>Network
So don't bother looking in that defective location.
If you wanted to setup/check your network you could use the same procedure as me if you wanted.

Somewhere between 23H2 and 24H2 is where this whole networking issue started.
I have two Windows 11 25H2 & two Windows 10 22H2 computers on my network and they all communicate correctly.
I use shortcuts between them not that cursed File explorer, Network section.

All the best,
Denis

Yeah I did the shortcuts in a folder but it's more of a PITA than when Windows works correctly. Since I PAID MY MONEY I think Microsoft should make it work as it used to. Yeah I am hard headed. 😄

I have mine in a folder on my Taskbar Toolbar and I find it much better than when that File explorer, Network section worked properly.

Taskbar toolbar, Explorer, Netowrk.webp

I think Microsoft should make it work
They have not even fixed the all-too-common problem of the Desktop not always refreshing automatically yet and that's been a common fault since the last century.

Hello all. I went ahead and made a new folder, named it network and made the shortcuts into that folder. Since that works, I'm not going to worry about the file explorer. Thanks for all the help.

Welcome to ElevenForum.

It's really worth making time to browse through the ElevenForum Tutorial index - there's a shortcut to it at the top of every ElevenForum page [within the Tutorials dropdown list].
- At the foot of the ElevenForum Tutorial index is a shortcut to download it as a spreadsheet.
- I download a new copy each month.
- By downloading it as a spreadsheet I can benefit from Excel's excellent filtering capabilities when I search for topics of interest.
- ElevenForum tutorials are also listed at Tutorials and there's a shortcut to that at the top of every page.

You can search ElevenForum using the search box in the top-right corner of all ElevenForum webpages or using Advanced Search - ElevenForum
- You can also search ElevenForum threads in many general search engines, such as Google, by adding site:elevenforum.com after your search term. For example,
Taskbar setup site:elevenforum.com
- [This is what the search box in the top-right corner of ElevenForum webpages does automatically]

And if you run it & choose portable rather than installing it, you can copy the contents of
"C:\Users\%UserName%\AppData\Local\Temp\Advanced IP Scanner 2"
to somewhere convenient then you can run it portable every time without having to choose. The file to run in that convenient folder of your own is
advanced_ip_scanner.exe

Yeah. I tried that and it worked until I restarted the computer and then everything went screwy. I reseted my network settings and then just made shortcuts.

That's what I found also. I tried to schedule it to run when the computer booted. That did not always work. The reason why I posted it was only to point to what was causing the problem. You would think Microsoft would have fixed this by now.

I think when Microsoft designed Windows 10 and 11 they assumed that home users like business ones kept their computers running 24/7. It they did then there wouldn't be a problem with computers showing up in File Explorer > Network. It looks like home users are just not important enough for Microsoft to fix a bug like this.
