Macrium Reflect Update

My Macrium Boot menu is set to 3 seconds. I suppose it`s actually a windows boot menu.
When you create your Rescue Media, a Boot screen is 1 of the options.
Go ahead give it a go.

There is no change, you just build the Boot Menu, it`s all right there, just click on Other Tasks up top, then Create Rescue Media. A smaller window (reply #21) will open giving you the option to Build the Boot Menu.
Then set the timer to what you want by clicking on the Boot tab in msconfig.

I Installed it yesterday. I've not cracked open the program yet to see if anything is different, though. Not my backup day. Maybe I should go ahead and backup my C-drive and take a nap, though. I've been up since 4 and working much of that time. It's becoming difficult to think.

We are always behind in the UK:) Not my backup day, but whenever I get a new version I make a new Rescue media USB data pen and do a backup of both drives. For me the joys of retirement, I left when the Covid outbreak started. I was going to finish at the end of the financial year anyway ( 5 years early ) but the boss told me to have an extra long holiday

That's great you got an extra long holiday. I'm not sure that would work here. They'd want to make sure they squeezed every drop out of you the could!

I installed the update on my desktop (paid version), but there's no way to activate the update on the laptop I have set up with the free version.

Weird, when I opened Macrium this morning (paid version) it popped up with the update notification

Yeah, no problems with the desktop paid version. It's the laptop with the free version I'm going to use as a teaching aid to backing up.

I got the desktop one yesterday when it came out, but it wasn't offered on the free version until today.

That's weird. This is the 3rd of my Reflect Free installs that I've checked so far. All of them see this update.

Check that yours hasn't accidentally been set to skip this update. And if that's not it, try uninstalling and reinstalling yours.

I can find nowhere to click to choose the update. both of the "here" links go to the website.

This is the first time anything like this has happened.

@Wynona Of my 4 machines, 3 did find it, the one that didn't was on battery power and not plugged in. Maybe nothing to do with it

Try dragging the title bar of the Macrium Reflect Updater window upwards. Click and drag the top edge of the window down to resize it first, if necessary.

I'm about ready to uninstall and reinstall Macrium! The computer was on battery power for awhile yesterday, so that may be a clue; however, it's plugged in this morning and still won't take the update.

I think I'm going to go eat some worms . . . tried but the chickens took them away from me!

OMGosh! There the dang thing is, but the window is so large that it won't fit properly on my laptop. I finally got it pulled down far enough to see download, but when I turned loose of the mouse, it popped out of sight again! I finally got it to the point I could see the top of the button, so I clicked and voila! I cannot believe I could be so silly!

Macrium Reflect Free is now updated!

Next is to get the 17" lappy to show what it's supposed to. Brand new clean install, etc. And I had already backed it up!

Glad you got there. You should be able to click and drag the edges of that window to resize it, and once resized it should stay that size for the next time.
