Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse has started double clicking

I have a Dell G5 15 laptop with everything that I can tell up to date.

My Microsoft bluetooth mouse (I think it was £20 when I bought it) which I've had for about seven years has suddenly started double clicking when I click once on the left button.

I've unpaired and paired it again and it is still the same.

The button has most probably worn out, I have used it quite a lot over the years.

Is there anything else to look at before I buy another bluetooth mouse? I only need a cheapish mouse so I'm looking at the LOGITECH M240.

Or perhaps there is something else going on?

You made a mouse last for several years. That's actually kind of impressive. Time to get a new one.

Might I suggest a slightly more expensive mouse, not Bluetooth, but WiFi?
I have M230, it is terrible. M330 is Silent, ergonomic and battery lasts years.

Logitech is the best, I had Logitech M705 for 13 years, it still worked, but I could see the "bones", so I replaced it.

I agree. I'm using the M650.

It was my old mouse that was the problem.
I now have a new Logitech M240.
What a great little mouse. I love the feel of the silent buttons when pressed.
