Yes, it's just easier in File Explorer - single click on any different photo and info (if available) is instant. No faffing about.

Sorry to resurrect an old post, but did anyone figure this out in the windows 11 photo app?
I have lots of pics taken with various Fuji, Nikon, Lumix and Olympus Cameras. But the only camera that the Windows 11 Photo app isnt showing exif data for is my Olympus O-MD E-M5 mkiii. I would love to know if someone figured this out?
