Open one of them in the film strip and select the three dots above and select file info.

Okay, here is what I did to fix this. I took the description of the picture from the file info. Typed it into google. Redownloaded it, to desktop, then deleted it. Its now gone.

I have had this problem since the Photos App release date! I think that's a bug or, maybe, is on purpose! Every time you delete a (local) photo/image with Photos App, it holds the image in its DB till you exit and open the app. Sometimes if you wait about a minute, it refreshes its DB and will delete the image/photo.

The FilmStrip, itself is a big problem!

What I'd like to know is, can we DISABLE that damn filmstrip?
And is there a way to force the Snipping Tool to remember its position/sizing or at least stay maximized?

Welcome to the Party! (FilmStrip and Snipping Tool Size/Position). I had these questions since their release dates! I wish Microsoft implement a toggle button in Photos App settings to disable the FilmStrip. I also wish Microsoft consider implementing "Remember Snipping Window Position and Size" in the next update!

Temporary Trick! Go to "Settings/Notifications/Snipping Tool" and disable "Show Notification Banners". The Snipping Tool window wouldn't appear or pop up till you click on its banner (in the notification). It copies the SS in Clipboard automatically (no need to open its window to see the SS content). Just open your image editor and press Ctrl+V!

I don't mind the Snip tool as is, I just don't get why Win 11 insists on these idiosyncratic behaviors.
Y'know what really gets my goat? UWP apps that think they should be taking input from a game controller. I mean, the calculator? WHY?

The UWP apps are so inconstant, To-Do, Voice recorder, have their own accent colour, and don't follow the theme colour settings. Paint is still only a white app, media player is worse than Groove Music, I have all sort of library issues, that Groove never had. Some will show your Windows logo icon, others show a generic user image, and others show a letter in a colours circle. Some have splash screens like the Phone app for no reason. It's like a bunch of different companies making these apps, no collaboration or design standards followed.
