Mom's new HP Pavilion Desktop: BSOD when Idle

The fundamental problem is a VGA cable is inadequate for UHD. Everything higher than 640x480 is a software patch to increase the bandwidth of the video stream beyond its designed capabilities. Even some HDMI cables cannot adequately support 4k graphics. The best solution is DPI or DVI connectors.

None. Manully configured so nobody except me can change any critical system files. (Don't ask how, it's probably against some rule somewhere)
So, I found a resolution: I messaged the eBay seller that I purchased the PC from, and they helped me sort out the issue. I sent all the screenshots of the BSOD's to them, and it turned out to be a problem with the system memory that I took out of my old Dell computer that was my mom's previous computer and put it in this one. I took it out and put back in the GSkill RAM chips that came with the computer, and now all seems to function as they are supposed to.

RAM mismatch to hardware can cause all kinds of weird issues. Glad you got it sorted and the seller knew how to correct it.

Bad RAM only added another layer of problems with your system. Probably should've mentioned that in the original post. Glad you fixed it though.
