Solved Mouse automatically scrolls whenever I right-click anything

As the title says. Whenever I try to right-click on something, the mouse immediately scrolls away so that i misclick.
Sometimes it scrolls up, sometimes down. Sometimes it does a little unnecessary "jump" and ends up back where it started.
The problem disappears entirely sometimes, which is making me suspect it's an issue with the mouse itself, but I thought I'd post here just in case anyone else had this happen and might have a solution.

Is there any way I can check if it really is the mouse or the computer? It's the only one I have right now, so I can't try a different mouse.
Is there something in the mouse settings that I've missed?

I think it would be beneficial if you asked someone to visit and bring their mouse with them for a cup of Erratic Tea.

Until then, you could try the following

Open Windows Settings.
Type in "Mouse"
Select "Mouse settings"
Select "Additional mouse settings"
Select the "Pointer options" tab
Disable "Enhance pointer precision"
Also disable "Automatically move pointer to the default button in a dialog box"

See how that goes.

The symptoms strongly suggest some debris or whatever between the right Mouse click button/mechanism and the Wheel/rotation detection mechanism.

It maybe as easy as shaking the debris out, worst case is to get inside and poke the debris out/clean etc.

Always have a spare basic wheel mouse for comparison/use.

It can be a number of things as it's basically called drifting. If it has the USB receiver, just unplug the receiver and plug it back in. If that doesn't work, turn the mouse off and back on. If it is wireless and has removable batteries, just slightly take one of the batteries out and put it back in.

This is not a scrolling issue, the mouse cursor will even move by itself, is your computer also acting like it is lagging at the same time too? It helps to know the make/model of the mouse.

Yeah, this one was it. I also borrowed a mouse from a friend like antspants suggested to see if theirs did it too, and the other mouse didn't have this problem.
