Mouse freezes on startup

On some occasions, when starting windows (windows 11 last update), the mouse starts with a problem.

When I move it, I get chops in the movement, like little motion freezes.

I have found a way to fix it, unplugging and plugging the mouse into the same port fixes the problem.

Randomly, at the next boot it may or may not occur again.

I've tried uninstalling the mouse driver and restarting, but it doesn't work.

The mouse is a basic mouse, a cheap mars gaming mouse, but in windows 10 I was using it for months and I had never noticed this problem, I only detected it when I upgraded to windows 11.

pc: Asus tuf z690 (last bios) + i5 12400 +64 Gb corsair 3200 + nvme samsung 980pro

I've run into problems with USB mice and trackballs with a few of my clients along with one printer. The issues turned out to be with the USB ports, most computers have USB 2 support in the BIOS but have to wait until the OS loads to get USB 3 support so the choice of which port to use has to be experimented with. In the case of the older printer it would only do half a page then give a message about lost communication then quit when plugged into USB 3, no issue with USB 2.

it has probably got usb 2 header on the mobo, but unfortunately some mobos are missing ps2 ports. Or you could try enabling port 60/64 emulation in bios.

Unfortunately my board does not have usb 2.0

When Berton said it, I automatically thought of changing to a usb2.0 port, I could try because it has internal ports, with an adapter.

Are you sure ? that is very unusual. According to the asus site:

1 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 header supports additional 2 USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports
2 x USB 2.0 headers support additional 4 USB 2.0 ports

Where USB 2 has black centers in the port and plug and USB 3 has blue centers newer computers are coming with combination USB 2/USB 3 support and the port/plug has black centers. The surest way to determine which a computer has is to check Device Manager, the word Enhanced is for USB 2 and eXtensible as shown is for USB 3. My Notebook from Oct. '21:

Yess, it's an internal connector. I need some adapter for my case. I'm going to buy one and try in usb2.0
