I currently have 2 PCs running Windows 11 Insider, Beta and Release Preview respectively. Thinking of switching the RP machine to Dev since it's the same as regular 11, which I just installed on a laptop. Any particular problems with Dev? I don't use either Insider desktop for daily work. Thinking this would likely help me sniff some things coming in 25H2.

Some people report that booting in SAFE mode is broken on the current DEV release. Ms sais update with this fixed will be released soon Whether the problem of booting in SAFE mode is of concern to you - only you would know of course. Doesn't bother me - so so far DEV is working - but of course on these builds expect defects - that's what these builds are for TESTING !! - don't complain if you run something like e-commerce on a DEV machine and it goes wrong !!!

Hi.

I have Build 26200.5570 on my PC (I believe this is the Dev build). I am not a heavy computer user. With this in mind, I don't see any difference in this build as compared to 26100.3915 (current 24H2 build which I was using 3 days ago).

I can get into Safe Mode without any problem.

My PC is incompatible with Windows 11. CPU is Intel i7-4790 and add-on TPM is TPM1.2. I have Secure Boot enabled.

Hope this helps.

EDIT: Microsoft Hello PIN is accepted.

Thanks for the input, jimbo45 and suatcini54. :-) I went ahead and updated my Beta desktop to Dev and Release Preview desktop to Beta. Versions are current. All went smoothly and there are no apparent problems with either. Haven't tried safe mode yet, but I very rarely need it for anything.
