OS
windows 11 (and windows 10)
Using AOMEI partition assistant pro, version 10.8.1
I have just cloned my previous SATA SSD system disk to a 1TB M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe4.0 SSD disk
see <partition table.jpg> attached

The new volume C is 512.16GB - more than double the size of the old SATA SSD, with the remaining space on the disk as a new volume for data.

The previous (SATA) ssd system 224GB disk has
  1. a "GPT recovery partition" 670.73 MB, of which 591.55MB are used, and
  2. a second partition which used to be called recovery 796.47MB of which 504.84MB are in use.

Now on the new (M2 2280) system disk, I have
  1. a "GPT recovery partition" 2.73GB of which only 591.72 MB are used, and
  2. a second partition called recovery 3.24 GB of which only 504.91 MB are used
Instead of 1467.2MB i now have 5.97 GB in these partitions, but the contents have not increased dramatically
Should I shrink the "GPT recovery" and "recovery" partition on the new disk to the old much smaller sizes?

thanks in advance

That is normal as that software clones partitions proportionately, especially when cloning to a larger drive. It resizes partitions to occupy the full capacity of the target disk. During the cloning process, AOMEI offers options to either automatically resize partitions to fit the entire target disk or to manually adjust partition sizes. You must have picked the automatic option.
