my radar will not zoom with the mouse

i have 3 pcs running win11 and the all have the same setup. however this pc will not let me use the mouse to do a zoom in or out on the my radar app. both my other pcs will let me. when i open the app and try to use the scroll wheel on this pc it will not scroll. but it will on the other 2 pcs. they are all laptops and all are running win11 24H2 the builds are a bit different with this being in the middle numbers. and i let window do automatic updates on all of them.

i have even reset this pc to see if i had some driver messing with it. and i got myradar from the microsoft store on all of the pcs. so maybe someone might have a work around? thanks.

Bob, try using a mouse from one of the other PC’s to rule out if the mouse on the PC that zoom doesn’t work on, is faulty.

yes i have. and i even deleted the app a few times and reinstalled it and the same thing. and like i said i did a complete restore to the point of taking the drive out of this pc and putting it into a drive holder and using aome to do a format and a bunch of other things and then used my win10 esd and reset it back to win10 and let the pc get win11 when it was ready. i even swapped the memory. it might be in the bios but i even did a reset on that to default and i did a firmware update and it is still the same it will not let me use any mouse to do a zoom on myradar. i'm kind of out of options. i only asked just in case someone here has had the same issue and figured it out. thanks i guess my next step will be to get another drive and do a clone from one of the other pcs and then put it into this pc. i have not yet did a drive swap. i guess i can try that and see if myradar will zoom with this drive in one of those pcs. but i kind of hesitated because of a lot of mechanical work tearing into 2 pcs.

I find that increasing or decreasing the size of a window's contents works well by holding the Ctrl key while scrolling. It also works with holding down the Ctrl key and pressing + or -. However, on some Notebooks the keys may not all work the same unless also including the Fn key.

that fails also. i guess i may just set this pc in the drawer and go to the other one that works myradar.

Are you positive there isn’t an option in the MyRadar settings to use the mouse scroll wheel to zoom?

i do not see one. so now i'm using another pc and my radar zooms good on this pc. i like the other pc because it has the fingerprint for logging in and it is a bit easier to do that type in a passcode all the time. so i will play around with the other pc some more and see if there is something i missed. thanks all i will just use this pc until i figure the other one out.

I reluctantly installed MyRadar from the Microsoft Store.
I also, can not see any settings that would affect the zoom.
Zoom for me works fine by default without holding the CTRL key down.

I am wondering what is different between that PC and the other two, software wise?
Any tweaks or software you can think of that may inadvertently affected the zoom function?

the pcs are real similar all hp laptops and running win11 this one i'm on now is the home edition and the other 2 are pro editions. as far as zoom on the pc in question it will mouse zoom when i'm in the photos so it seems it would mouse zoom in myradar. i'm going to do some more messing around with that one and see if i may have missed something. one this the pc dose different also is if i use the page up or dn more that a few click then the monitor page pops up and wants me to reselect what screen i'm using. so maybe it is not liking the win11 setting in there someplace? this pc i'm on now every now and then the screen turns off and then returns so that is one reason it sets in the drawer. besides it doesn't have the fingerprint scanner. anyway i will maybe even do another complete reset and see if it improves. but more than likely i will just eBay another one and have at that. thanks

You could use Revo Free to totally remove MyRadar, registry entries, folders and all.
And then reinstall it. It’s always a good option to try this.

Do you have an independent installer or are you installing through Microsoft Store?

i may try that but now i just did a reset on that pc and doing a cloud download and see if that helps the other time i reset it from that pc drive. and one time before that i took the drive out and put it into a caddy and used my laptop on the desk and aonmie to go in a wipe that drive clean and i did that a few times to try and make sure it was clean. i even filled it with 0 and the formatted it again and it still did it. if this reset fails i will just ebay another one and put that pc in a drawer for parts. i go to myradar often and i hate having to use the side slider to zoom in and out for the us map.

i have a dozen times and on that pc it is still the same. now it is doing a reset from the cloud and the first app i will install will be the my radar and if ti still does that no mouse zoom i will just put it away and get another ebay pc. and be dozen with that one. it may have some internal issues that a reset will not fix. and some bios the a bios reset fails to fix. thanks

ok i did a factory reset using the cloud and kept my files and doc etc and it still came back the same. so now i'm going to source another pc and see if that one does the same thing. i have my radar on 2 alldocube pcs and it works as is should however i do not care for those pcs so they sit in there boxes and i may donate them one day after i get back into our rebuilt house.

i just can't figure this out. that pc also now and then if i use the pg up or dv more that a few pages it comes up with the message as to what montio i want to use. so i have to tap esc. to clear that. and the pc i was using at the end of the conversation last night has the browser come up with an error message all the time that i have to reload that the tab that i'm using. but that may be in chrome but may be in the wifi section. this has been a trip with that pc not allowing myradar to zoom in or out with any mouse. it does however let me zoom with the touchpad when it turns on if i take out the mouse adapter.

i may try doing the complete reset again today with my esd drive just to see if i may have got some win11 update that messes with myradar, but the last esd i did it di the same thing as soon as win11 showed up. this has been a trip on that pc. for sure.
