Need some help with Realtek Audio Control App

Hey guys do not really know where to post this.

I am running Windows Pro Ver 25H2 OS Build 26200.6901

Previous I was on the lastiest build of 24H2. I update to 25H2 about a week ago and since then have done the rcent update tha MS released yesterday, the fix for the M/K issues in safe mode, which I was having too, but all is resovled with that at the moment.

So I have an Asus Rog Strix-E Wifi II mobo. I am using the last realtek audio driver that is on my mobo's website. When I was on 24H2 I had no issues what so ever opening up the realtek app on my rig, it always worked fine no issues what so ever.

Well ever since I updated to 25H2, the realtek app will not open up at all. I have tried uninstalling, installing, running windows file check thing, you name it I have tried.

It downloads with no issues, does not give any error messages. The app will just not open up.

Like I said I have a strix mobo, and recently I uninstalled ASUS Armory Cate, I mean I did a clean uninstall of that bloatware, my rig is running so much better now, imo.

So I am trying to figure out is there a fix for this issue with the Realtek Audio Control App. I cant even download it now, it looks like it is DL, but then it says retry later?

I do not know if MS knows that the App is broken or is it my rig, or 25H2 that is messing stuff up???? It gives me that erroe message, error 0X80073CF1

Thanks for the reply. Yeah Just tried that and it will not in stall, somethign about 3rd party cert not vaild???

I think the issue is that I do not have Asus Armory Crate installed?? I guess will live without it, I dont want to install that Bloatware again. My rig runs so much better with out that App.

You do not need that awful program anywhere near your system in order for Realtek Audio to work.
Did you see my post referenced above? Just in case you might have missed it.

I know this doesn't help you but I have no problem here on a Gigabyte board running 25H2.

And this one with the RealTek name on it..
Still does not help you though.

Hey Steve and Oat, Yeah I tired the steps with that inf file still would not download.

Anyways I will live with out the RTAC, I think since I completely uninstalled Asus Armory Crate, it will not work correctly.

Also I forgot that I had a Sound Blaster G6 DAC, I installed the app and drivers for that and hooked up my speakers, sounds 100% better.

I stll have the Rt driver installed on my rig from my mobo's website, just will not use the RTAC.

You need Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS-DTS) from the first post of this thread : [DRIVERS] Realtek USB Audio (AMD 5xx/6xx/8xx & Intel 5xx/6xx/7xx/8xx).

Hey Mr. M,

I have all ready tried that and still RTAC will not download thru the MS store. Its wierd, like I said it was working fine before I update to 25H2, since then cant get it to work?

It downloaded, it will launch but will not open at all. The RTAC screen will show up, but then dissapears?
