Looks good.
Just double check that the CPU and RAM are on the motherboard's compatibility lists.
CPU is on the list and I'd assume the RAM is too.


And... here's ten points for filling out your computer specs. :-)



Note: If, down the line, you intend to get a separate video card, you may want to get a higher wattage power supply.
650W is fine for integrated GPU, but will struggle with a newer discreet GPU.

    Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 15 years?
Having an unspecified PSU is worrisome. £23 is very cheap. I'd prefer an 80 Plus Gold or better efficiency rating. Lightly lower electric bills, and (presumably) higher quality.

You might consider a larger PSU if there's any likelihood that you'd add a discrete graphics card in the future. The additional expense shouldn't be much.

The motherboard has a header for a USB 3.2 Gen2 port (10Gbps). The case on your list lacks a built-in one. If you want one, you may be able to find an adapter that fits in one of the 5 1/4 slots. There are cases with front 5 /14" slots and the USB 3.2 Gen2 Type C front panel port, but they're not common. Slots for optical drives are slowly going extinct. (As are the drives themselves.)

I was thinking the same. Also, 20 cores are bound to make for one hot CPU. I'm not familiar with that air cooler but if it's as good as an old NH-D15 it'll probably do the job.

I am a father of five providing PCs, laptops, and tablets for all my family, most of which I have modified, rebuilt, or simply built from scratch. I do not own a cell phone, never have, never will.
@Baccinio Even if your system board does not have the headers for the USB cables that come with the case you can use a card that plugs into PCIe which you can directly connect to those cables. But it looks to me like you will have no problem with what you have. In the case of USB 3.2 Gen2 if you want type "c" you can run it to the front or to the back via a PCIe slot quite easily. You can even run #8 (see diagram) to the back without a card via one of these:

As for your Thunderbolt/USB4 (See: #19) You will need a Thunderbolt card if I am not mistaken. The cable connector will come with the card and your type "C" will be available through the back of the case. This can in turn be connected to another Thunderbolt device and/or a very fast type "C" hub. I hope this helps.

Agree with @bobkn. That PSU can't be good at that price. Don't go cheap on a PSU, plan to spend more. Expect to spend near $100 for that wattage for a good PSU.

The better brands are Seasonic and Superflower. These two manufacture power supplies and are rebranded a lot.

That RAM might be a little tough to acquire but there is other stuff on the QVL.

CORSAIR CMT32GX5M2D6000C36 Ver 4.43.02 2x

^ Seems like a better choice to me but evidently they ran their tests with Hynix. Over 90% of the RAM on the list is Hynix.

The stuff I'm suggesting here is Samsung and it is lower latency.

The memory below is the only stuff on the list that is XMP/EXPO

Welcome back.

Palicomp offers branded PSUs. The prices are higher than £23, though.

I know that people in forums are all too willing to spend other people's money for them, but I can't recommend using a no-name PSU that isn't even 80 Plus Bronze certified.
