I tried to add a new email contact using old outlook it shut down. So, I thought let's try new version I did on another computer with no issues, That was a big mistake new version did not install error message popped up the first window I could not shut down, I looked on app's on settings no old version only new. I tried to run trouble shoot, retry and close nothing worked. Had to finally go to help they were able to get me back to old version, If I was able to load new its main screen would have given me the way to go back to old version.
Other then get into that mess again when will there be a fix for new outlook?

I am not sure actually. The error code says 'InvalidTimeZone' however I doubt this would cause such problems, unless Outlook is now somehow stuck in a boot loop since the timezone for outlook is incorrect but obviously you can't go into outlook to then change it.
To be honest, as somebody who has tried the new outlook you are much better with staying with the old app; the new one is just like the web interface stuck into a program.
When you refer to old outlook, do you mean the 'Mail' app?
If you prefer to read emails in a seperate program rather than in the web browser, I would thoroughly recommend ditching Microsoft default options and instead I favour a third-party client such as Mozilla Thunderbird.

"old" outlook is nested into mail app when I opened old outlook it wants to know if I want to try new which I did. I have two laptops the other I tried new did not like went back to old, but later went back to new. On that laptop I looked on additional apps both versions were there but second laptop only the new is there. I do not know why new failed.

" when will there be a fix for new outlook?"

No one knows, New Outlook is in Beta and unfinished. You have used troubleshoot so MS gets some error data.

Find New Outlook in the All Apps list Right Click > Uninstall.

You may have to do that more than once, on both Laptops be it Windows 11 or 10.

Similar to what Helmet said, I believe I had to go into Control Panel Programs and Features and click on “Uninstall a program” to see if I still had both versions.

If you see two versions of Outlook, uninstall the one that says “new”.
In fact one of them might of been new outlook the other Windows Mail.

I believe (from memory) that is what I had to do when I had trouble a few weeks ago to revert back when the New Outlook installed without my consent. My memory is a little vague.

If you only see the New Outlook, you could try uninstalling anyway and re-adding it if it’s giving you problems.
