New Version of ExplorerPatcher

Selling point!?!?!?
More like a sacrificial abomination!!!
LOL I have no problem with the taskbar. I've never even thought about having it anywhere but at the bottom and all the things people say are missing, I never used anyway.

but only when I click on the win10 network icon in the tray, so half as wild. 😁
When I choose the Win7 icon no problems. 👌🤔
Yeah, it's expected. What "Win7 icon"???

Any plans to submit the latest build to MS so they stop flagging it via SmartScreen?

I have submitted a number of my own projects that flagged as false positive and they are normally fixed within a few days.
Not really, I cannot be bothered to do it for each release. Unless an executable is on the list, every application is flagged, so their stance is to basically deter users from running applications in general, and only cater to a few from their approved walled garden. Ofc I cannot be pro or support such behavior, this is bad/Apple design imo.

Ofc, I have nothing against you or anyone else submitting links there, but personally I won't do it. On my machines, I always disable Windows SmartScreen, among many other OS features.

Do you think it has a malware or virus in it????

Such issues would pretty much be gone if the files were digitally signed.

Hello, Valentin! I have tested the ribbon option but for some reason I see the Win10 ribbon when Win11 command bar
is chosen. Could it be that the options are confused?

I also have to add this option to my classic theme tutorial, but I have no rights to modify it currently.

Did you do it the same way as OldNewExplorer (patching resources)? If so, you also can introduce hiding the command
bar the same way.

I have witnessed this bug myself a few times also. Restarting the explorer process (i.e. by clicking on the Restart File Explorer link at the bottom of ExplorerPatcher's settings window) fixes it until the next time when it happens again, but it happens only very rarely for me.
Dang tried that doesnt work, might just have to reinstall windows

Hello, I'm new to this forum and I use google translate to be able to communicate, so I apologize if there are errors. A huge thank you to Valinet for the great work they have done works better than Start11 and StartAllBack which are paid. Finally I have the result I wanted as you can see in the picture.
Screenshot (14).png

I have a single problem as you can see from the image:
Screenshot (15).png
The control center window is cut off, I mean it's not a big flaw and so this is more of a report than a resolution request.

The only request I would really like to make to Valinet is the possibility of translating his beautiful work into Italian. I tried to download the source code but I'm not a programmer and I don't know where to put my hands, I was hoping there was a single language file to be edited with NotePad ++ to translate it. I can do the translation as long as you tell me how to do it. Thanks again for your work.

Problem with newest version: 22000.613.44.1
Tried to add to start menu app shortcut, but it doesn't appear (specifically - Shotcut app.
It appears in the search, and can be pinned to the taskbar but not to the start menu.

Any help in resolving this issue is appreciated.

Hey, is there any chance you could make buttons and the context menu highlight square like it was in Windows 10? See the attached screenshot for what I mean - in Windows 10, the things in the red rectangles had square corners, and not round like in Windows 11. Since there's an option to make windows square, I thought it might be good to also have options to make these square (if it's possible).

Your program is seriously amazing in any case.

After update to 22000.652, ExplorerPatcher is broken (black screen after reboot, had to Ctrl+Alt+Del and uninstall). Tried the last development build without success.

Quick question, is this expected to happen after every new Windows version? If so, is there a way to implement a system where the addresses to patch are gathered from Microsoft Public Debug Symbols (similar to what AeroGlass do)?

ooohhh thanks, your answer gave me a hint to solve the problem, so explorer patcher is actually capable of downloading symbols, so I remembered that I actually put some firewall rules to prevent explorer.exe to talk to the internet (been using this tweak for years without issue to prevent some telemetry). I just temporarily disabled those rules and Explorer Patcher was able to download the symbols (it even showed a notification).

Good thing to put on my notes, disable the explorer rule on firewall everytime there is a windows update.

Thanks again @The-Hive for the help.
