In very rare occasions that Explorer Patcher malfunctions and updating doesn't make any difference, I download the latest version from official website and install (in-place upgrade/repair).
Well when I looked into the threat it leads to the github for Explorer Patcher. I'm guessing MS doesn't want us using it so they deemed it as a threat to scare people off. I have always used the update option from within it to update and never had the issue until this last update.

Decided out of craps and giggles to try it on the latest 24H2 dev build 26058.1300 and to my suprise almost everything is working with the only exception being there's no clock/volume flyout on the Windows 10 taskbar. Other than that i've not found a\ny other issues
If you have a CPU from 2012 or later (except Intel Atom), you should have SSE4.2 and PopCnt. So to upgrade to 24H2 you only have to bypass compatibility check, as you did for 23H2.

I run the standard release version of Windows 11 23H2. I install all Windows updates (except drivers) and then update Explorer Patcher. So far no issues.

Yeah EP and explorer changes I don't use anymore it kept switching to 11 classic file menu even though I switched it off.
Exported current settings and imported back and it hasn't happened anymore.
I just use default 11 explorer now it's not that bad anymore.
I use EP just for start menu now.

No, I am on Windows 11 build 22631.3235 with the same build of EP as you, and I don't have this problem with File Explorer (nor have any other problems, for that matter...). This is with the Control Interface option in the EP settings set to Windows 10 Ribbon. For me, doing this fixes many problems with File Explorer also including many problems with File Explorer that still occur in Windows 11 even when EP has never been installed.
Let's doublecheck that. I'm going to try a few more Windows 11 builds with the Explorer "Windows 10 Ribbon".
But let's clarify that we're talking about the same thing. You said "its not saving the size and position of windows for me". The "windows" (plural) may be causing some confusion. I'm referring to the Explorer window (singular). It always opens at the same size and location. That is, it does not save it's size and location upon closing. Are we talking about the same thing?
Did you really mean Windows 10?
I have not experimented with EP in Windows 10 [I don't understand what benefit EP brings to Windows 10].
In Windows 10 [without EP], File explorer does open at its last window position & size [but does sometimes get confused].
Or did you actually mean Windows 11 but are remembering how it behaved in Windows 10?
I'm sure we're talking about using the Windows 10 file explorer (aka "Windows 10 Ribbon" option in EP) on Windows 11. @Stormbrain listed their build as "Windows 11 Build: 22631.315".
He meant Windows 11 with File Explorer set to look like Windows 10 (current Windows 11 mode uses tabs much like a browser, Windows 10 mode is the old familiar style).

I just gave ExplorerPatcher a try - I wanted the old 'show all system tray icons' option, but sadly it doesn't work for all the icons (my RME icons don't show up).
