All of a sudden, Cut & Move stopped working. Both do Copy only, without deleting the source.
(I'm using Windows 11 24h2)

Any ideas?

Yes, I've rebooted many times, checked updates, done SFC scannow & checked system files.
Nothing helps.
Short cuts just copy, no delete of the source file.

Does the issue occur when using Cut in a text document (i.e. cutting and pasting text, not files)? If so, it sounds likely to be an issue with the clipboard.

Can you type “Winver” into a run or search bar and hit enter, tell us the exact build of your Windows 11 24H2.

There was a older issue with the Clipboard & 24H2. But this should of been fixed? Are you up to date in Windows Update?

Cut, in a document works.
So it's only files that are an issue.

I've looked at all the tweak programs that I have, to see if there is any there that would change/modify the Cut & Move command or shortcut to default it to Copy. Nothing anywhere.
Google just tells me to restart Explorer, that I've done many times. This issue has been there for the last few weeks.

When people say Tweak Programs, I have to wonder if they are a cause for irregular issues.

Turn them off or uninstall them and see if the correct shortcuts resume after a reboot.

There was a older issue with the Clipboard & 24H2. But this should of been fixed? Are you up to date in Windows Update?

Sorted!
I set up a new account and tried a cut & paste.. It worked.
I was using Teracopy in my 'normal' account & not in the 'new' account. That was the problem.
Once I deleted Teracopy in my 'normal' account, everything is now working again.

Thanks for the help. I think that I was over thinking the issue, when it was actually now obvious that a copy/paste utility was the issue.
