Notebook not connecting to the LAN

We have a Windows 11 notebook that has been working fine for months. Yesterday, we had a blackout and after the blackout, the notebook would not connect to the LAN. Things I did:
  • Brought the computer to a shop and they immediately connected with their LAN
  • I checked that the notebook’s MAC address is in the router properly
  • I rebooted the notebook and the router
  • I was unable to ping to or from the notebook
  • I checked the WiFi console and I see the notebook
  • Made sure that 'Random hardware address' is turned off on the notebook
  • When I run ipconfig /all on the notebook, it has the wrong IP address
The WiFi is turned on, but under the name of the LAN, it indicates 'No internet' which is clearly wrong. What should I do to get the notebook reconnected to the LAN? Note that this is the only thing connected to the LAN that is not working - everything else is.

You can fix internet issues in Windows 11 by going to Settings > Network & internet > Advanced network settings > Network reset and clicking Reset now.

Things to try.

1. Change ethernet cable.

2. Run @FreeBooter bat file as admin to reset networking components. Then restart. See attached.

3. Assign a static ip address to one other than what your router has currently assigned to that device's MAC address. This can be done from router settings or within windows.

A static IP address is useful for hosting servers or websites and for sharing large files.

To change it within router settings do a web search fo "how to assign static ip address in brandnameandmodel router

I tried the reset, waited for the computer to reboot itself, reconnected to the LAN, and re-entered the WiFI password. That didn’t help. Once I entered the password, saw ‘checking network requirements’ for about 20 seconds, but then it said ‘No internet’. What in the blazes is going on?????

I decided to try one of the other SSIDs, but when I tried that one, I was informed 'Can't connect to this network', but that network has no security other than the password.

I am a bit hesitant to try the batch file since I do not have the expertise to read the whole thing and understand it.

What do you have to lose? You have no connection.

Re-enter the password??? I was under the impression you were connecting through ethernet.

Well I can promise you use of that .bat file has been suggested and used many times here. The .bat file can be opened with any text editor and it tells you in capital letters what each command does.

In cases like that, I have gone to WiFi > Manage known networks and selected "Forget"...then added it.

As far as removing the SSID and hiding it, this is what I get, no need to see the neighbor's.
Tough choice, as you can see.
