It DOES work -- I was too impatient -- took an age to install but OK in the end !!

So Ignore this bit !!!!


Office 2019 fails to install on a CLEAN W11 pro install (in a VM) but it's OK on an existing Office 2019 install when updating to W11.
What happens is the process goes part of the way and then just stops - does nothing !!

Worked fine for me. Wasn't in a VM, though. (I rushed in where angels fear to tread.)
