Well...after leaving my desktop on all day, at some point while I was at work, the update completed. Seeing how long it will take for the two laptops.

I'm having the same issue updating O365 on both Windows 10 & 11. So far I've been stuck at "Downloading Office updates" for 45-60 minutes on my Win11 box and Task Manager isn't showing a whole lot to indicate that anything is really happening. I re-enabled .Net 3.5 and rebooted before re-trying the update. I'm seriously doubting MS is even bothers to test these updates before they release them.

After fighting with this off and on for the past 4+ hours this is looking more like a CDN issue than an issue with computer/OS. I used the Office uninstall/scrub utility and tried and until just now it was downloading so slowly it took a couple of hours to get to 2%.

On Thursday, after setting my laptops not to turn off (plugged in of course), they eventually updated. It took MUCH longer than usual though.

I have been using Corel Word Perfect Office/Home/Student 2021, for some time. No issues. What I can't understand is why MS has to have OS updates and related every week, for how many years.

Then too, their software engineers don't seem to have a whole lot of experience or a turnover in that dept? "O" what changes can we make next week, for job security??? They can't seem to leave well enough alone. You know what I mean????

What I do know is their customers (me included) aren't so bothered as to want to move to Corel Word Perfect ;-)
