Solved OK so my plan isn’t working

I bought a mini pc that came with Windows 11 and I liked it.

I have successfully installed Windows 11 onto my laptop and my home media server using Rufus.

Now I am on my main home personal pc. It’s an 8 year old desktop that I am trying to install Windows 11 on to with Rufus and I am struggling.

My plan was to remove all the hard drives from my computer and only have a new unformatted 2tb ssd installed, and the rufus memory stick. I was thinking I can do a clean install this way plus if something goes wrong I can just remove the w11 ssd and reinstall the w10 ssd and run windows 10 again like nothing happened.

But I keep getting this error message from Rufus. I think I am booting into UEFI mode but apparently I don’t know what the hell I am doing so here I am humbling myself in front of the world asking for help.

I left the dvd plugged in but with no disk inside.

Can anybody tell me what am I missing? What am I doing wrong? Do you need more info?

Go back to the computers BIOS screen and enter the Advanced Mode (F7) to see if you can turn off CSM/Legacy mode.

The error message says it all enable UEFI mode from BIOS.

That was it.
