Solved Old Intel Drivers on AMD system

Check all BSOD dump files for the drive that cause the problem.

This guide will walk you through opening, analyzing, managing, and making sense of Windows crash dump files.

I have attempted this many times before and for some reason my computer does not write a minidump file despite the bluescreen on start up taking place multiple times.

For dumps to be produced, The following should be correct

Page file must be on the same drive as your operating system

Page file base allocation size must be greater than installed physical RAM

Windows Error Reporting (WER) system service should be set to MANUAL

Set page file to system managed on the OS drive

Set system crash/recovery options to "kernel memory dump"

User account control must be running.

Sometimes SSD drives with older firmware do not create DMPS (update firmware)

Cleaner applications like Ccleaner delete DMP files so dont run them until you are fixed.

Bad Physical RAM may prevent the data from being saved and written to a file on reboot. If you suspect bad RAM run Memtest from this wiki

Full memory dumps can also be deleted (in win 7) if your HD space is under 25 gigs, but if you configured your system as the above suggests, you should not be generating full dumps.

I believe I've followed all the steps you have mentioned here and I still do not see any DMPS

Also, I want to specify that my PC would create minidump files before

However this was exclusive to me only getting BSOD while Windows was active

Any time I attempted to boot into windows and got a BSOD on start up, I would not get a minidump file

Yes, a lot.

I couldn't tell you what exactly. I've attempted to google to find a solution to this and none of them have worked for me.

It's on System Managed

Your guide mentioned for me to turn on Kernel Memory Dump. It was previously on Small Memory Dump.
You can configure it as MiniDump file the Kernel dump files are store at C:\Windows directory. Windows minidump files are typically located in the "C:\Windows\Minidump" folder.

Sorry, I didn't specify.

I had it to set minidump files before you suggested I make it kernel dump.

I would get a minidump, but only if I got a BSOD while I was in Windows.

If I got a BSOD before my computer could boot, I would not get a mini dump.

I set it to kernel dump and I still do not get a dump file from a BSOD from before windows is able to boot.

Do I have any options for what I can do about my Secure Boot BSOD issue?

I really don't want to do a fresh install of Windows 11

Without knowing which driver causing the BSOD not much can be done if you know the driver then uninstalling or installing the newest version will help.

When I receive a BSOD it always pops up with "iaStorF.sys" as the issue \Windows\System32\drivers\iaStorF.sys

but if I attempt to disable this driver then windows will fail to boot entirely

iaStorF.sys is a system file associated with the Intel Rapid Storage Technology (RST) enterprise software. This file is also known as the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Filter or RSTe Filter. It is developed by Intel Corporation and is a part of the driver package for Intel's storage devices.

Yeah, I know.

I would like to know a solution to uninstalling it.

The only Intel device in my Device Manager is my motherboard's Intel Ethernet. I have selected to show hidden devices and Intel still does not show up.

However, the driver in question (iaStorF.sys) still exists in my /System32/drivers folder and the driver for both it and iaStorA.sys both date back to 2015

Have you try installing newest one?

You uninstall it from programs & features app also the driver can be listed it does not mean driver been used.

I cannot uninstall the newest one as I have an AMD motherboard and it's incompatible with RST, so the download never even starts.

I do not see it listed in programs & features
