Ongoing error attempting to update USB ports on HP printer

Every Win Update results in the two error messages seen in the screenshot below. They arise from a cable-connected HP printer that has two USB ports. I should note that all other updates proceed without problem. Has anyone else experienced this? I'd love to get rid of the error messages. Thanks.
